This is at least my third gel plate, I keep buying them in different sizes. I wanted one where I could print a full A4 page - This is the one! Although it's much larger than A4 I did get a feel for where the paint needed to be - if unsure you could put a piece of paper underneath. I've used different types of acrylic paint on mine, so far Amsterdam are my favourites, but the cheaper craft paonts have been fine, just more textured. If you buy one, make sure you have a full ream of paper ready to play! I like to use 90 - 120 GSM weight.

Mono printing on a gel plate is so much fun and the Gel Press printing plate is fabulous quality and still affordable. I have found no difference in performance between the Gel Press and the much more expensive Gelli Plate (I have used both) and absolutely love messing around with both inks and paints on this plate. Just need to make sure there is lots of space to put all the prints whilst they dry (which really only takes a few minutes).This plate is a great size if you want to make larger prints, especially if you would like to print your own wrapping paper or fabric. It is great for both!

This is such an amazing tool and it's intended for both amateurs and professional artists! It is sold at half the price other plates are generally sold and performs just great! "Gel Press" is a top quality brand, the first company ever to patent a plate made out of gelatin, so... NO... It's not a knock-off product! Try it and you won't regret it!P.s. when you remove the Mylar sheets do not store it vertically, seal it with copy papers and let it sit horizontally.

Works well and is quite robust so far. Good thickness and easy to clean. Stores well in supplied packaging.

I use the printing as a background to my art projects and it is gorgeous!

This item works well and cleans well. I am using it to print mostly on fabric and I am very pleased with my purchase. I therefore decided to order a smaller version for which I am awaiting delivery.

Unfortunately, after a few years this particular make of gel plate gets very sticky and starts to disintegrate making it unusable. I bought a plate from a slightly more expensive brand (Gelli Arts) and it is still holding out fine after 4 years.I wouldn't have left such a negative review but when I contacted Gel Press about this problem they never even bothered to respond.
