Good product
The taste wasn't a complete shock and turn off like I've read in reviews before buying this product. It is a tad salty compared to the more common brands of tooth paste you probably grew up with. If you ever gargled with baking soda and water or brushed with baking soda the flavor probably wont bother you. Not a whole lot of foam but it get's your teeth clean, no complaints from the dentist. I do wish it was a little more affordable, I made this jar last a few months by switching to regular tooth paste a few days and then using this product another day...and i do use my finger to put the paste on my tooth brush rather than dipping which might have also helped make it last a little longer. I'm one person though, I can see a family of Four trying to use this product and it breaking the bank...which isn't something anyone should have to worry about when buying toothpaste while, trying to put the environment first. There was no problems with the jar drying up either...screw that lid on and you shouldn't have problems with it drying up. I love the packaging design and really wish other tooth paste brands would consider designs like this. I will probably buy again.

Very salty but felt clean teeth. Somewhat messy.
Wanted to try something cleaner and this one wasn’t bad. It didn’t make my teeth sensitive but was very salty tasting. Not the easiest to use as you have to always stir it up and can be a bit messy. It did make my teeth feel clean but not worth the money to me with always having to mix and dip toothbrush or find something to put the toothpaste on toothbrush with. It didn’t burn.

Great Product
-The taste is kind of weird but it just takes a little getting used to. It's sort of salty tasting and not like traditional toothpaste but obviously this isn't normal toothpaste so don't expect it to be the same.-I found it easy to use and travel with. Never had any issues with it leaking in my bag.-The consistency got a little dry/clumpy towards the end but I just added a little bit of water and that seemed to do the trick.-As just one person using a moderate amount twice a day it lasted me 2.5 months. So after the math it is a little pricey compared to normal toothpaste but your paying for the sustainability and natural product.Overall I liked it and would recommend it as a great sustainable alternative! The only reason I'm not repurchasing at this time is because I personally need a toothpaste with fluoride in it right now but will likely get this again in the future!

tastes gross and doesn't help with sensitivity
I was shocked by the taste of this toothpaste, which I bought to try to replace buying tubes. It foams a lot and you need to barely touch the brush to it. If I'd wanted to brush with baking soda with a little mint extract I could have done that myself. I've also noticed after just a few days that my aging teeth are sensitive again. Sorry. Going back to Sensodyne.

Kid friendly
I was looking for a toothpaste without cinnamon or peppermint because my children have sensitivities to those. Finally found it! My kids said it was too “hot”, referring to it’s minty-ness, but after a few uses they’ve stopped complaining. We’ve been using coconut oil as their toothpaste but their breath did not smell good so this has been a breath saver!!This container lasted a little less than a month between 3 children. My plan is to get one container per child so they don’t share so many germs. But right now the budget is tight so we do our best by sharing.I just wish they’d add it to subscribe and save! And sell it in larger quantities so I can get a one jar per kid (with a discounted price for larger purchases!).

Fine grain feeling
The flavor was as expected. The upper layer had a rudder feel to it, which I don’t mine. It’s a natural product, what do you expect. But it unfortunately was not for me. The paste had a grainy feel to it which I did not like. I was concerned that it would wear out my enamel, I’d rather not take the risk.

Salty
This was my 1st try at toothpaste not in a tube. Trying to be more concerned about our environment. Way too many plastics ending up in our oceans.Found this to be very salty tasting. Unable to return & may try another brand.

Love the Taste and the Results !
I've been searching for a while for another toothpaste that would fit my needs, in particular one that was natural, had no fluoride and in a container I wouldn't have to cut open to get the last bit of toothpaste.Nelson Naturals is it ... I love the taste, just the little bit of saltiness is perfect. My teeth are whiter and they feel like I just stepped out of the dentist's office. Initially, I felt it was a bit too runny, but the more I stirred it, the consistency was where I needed it to be. I am using a small plastic spatula (from a makeup kit I had) to put the toothpaste onto my brush. Works great and I will be reordering this !
