Best field of view video doorbell I've ever seen
So far I have been surprised on how well this works. The image quality is excellent and it is a true head to toe View. The field of view with this camera is the best out of any of the multiple video doorbells I have tried. Seamless integration with the app very easy to get up and running. Very highly recommended.

The Best Video Doorbell Camera Today!
This is by far the Best Video Doorbell Camera on the market today! I’ve had the other very popular video doorbell camera for years now and it always have connectivity issues with my WiFi plus I paid for years now their annual subscription. I was amazed how awesome this Reolink camera works and with the microsd card I don’t even need a subscription plus it syncs to my WiFi 5g and works so much better than the other popular brand .The video quality is awesome and it even has a Birds Eye view. I was so impressed I purchased one for my business as well and can view my home and business cameras in one app and it’s free of any annual subscription fees!

Battery creates too many compromises
I wanted to like it but I realized quickly that just by being the battery powered version there are lot of compromises. No ONVIF for integrating with other home automation systems. No continuous recording, and the battery constantly goes dead even though I had it hardwired to my doorbell transformer that’s providing 19v even while the doorbell is connected. I had to pull it off the wall several times to charge via USB-C, usually to 80% or so, then reconnect it and it’ll charge the rest of the way itself to 100% and then over the course of days drain back down to 0% again. Every car that passes uses battery even if you have the detection zone set to ignore them. Motion detection also didn’t work very well. It would notice my mailman 50% of the time despite the fact that my mailbox is literally next to the doorbell, and often it would record events once the person is already walking away. Video quality is good however so I’ll give it that.I replaced it with the hardwired non-battery wi-fi version and it seems to be a massive improvement in stability and reliability as well as having some of the more advanced features I wanted.Edit: Reolink contacted me to apologize for my poor experience with the device and offered to give me a $15 refund (in addition to the return) for my trouble. I found that to be a nice gesture. So while this device might not work for everyone's situation, I can at least say that their support is proactive and that this is a good company to do business with.

It’s not fully baked
I really wanted to like this doorbell, I really did. But it has too many flaws to justify its price. I have a little over two weeks with the camera and the battery has stopped charging while connected to the existing doorbell wiring. And yes, my wiring is within the recommend voltage.Other issues consist of image quality such as the HDR, auto brightness, auto shadows/contrast. All of which are absolutely horrible. I understand why so many people have complained on the actual Reolink website about this product. The fact that their old generation doorbell camera is still getting better reviews today, should tell you that this doorbell camera was not ready for production. My opinion and suggestion to you would be go with the older generation doorbell or find a different brand with what you are looking for.

Solid smart battery doorbell option with some glaring omissions
Before buying this, I had a Eufy Dual-Camera Battery Doorbell. Decent product held back by the awful Homebase 3 which resulted in frequent disconnections and VERY slow notifications and delayed recordings. This Reolink Battery Doorbell resolves those issues. It detects people at a greater distance than Eufy, records sooner, and sends a notification faster. Unlike Eufy, which will leave you of a useless recording of the person leaving and mostly already out of frame, nearly all of the footage from the Reolink was useful. As long as someone isn't running up and snatching a package quickly, the Reolink should get footage of them. This is something all battery cameras struggle with though so I won't knock Reolink on this.Notifications come quickly enough that people are still on my property when I get it. With the Eufy, they'd already be in their car, down the block by the time I got theirs.Fast notifications are also very beneficial when someone rings the doorbell. With Reolink, the delay from answering the notification to talking to the person outside is seconds. With Eufy, I would get a loading screen for a solid 1-2 minutes before I could even see the person, let alone talk to them. By that time, they were gone. The single fisheye camera can see a lot, but not as much as the Eufy's dual camera setup. But I'd say it covers about 95% of the Eufy and the image is clearer, especially at night. If there was a way to tilt the camera down so I'm not recording my porch light, it'd cover all the area the Eufy did and be perfect. But the biggest issue I have with the Reolink Battery Doorbell is that it doesn't come with a chime. Docked 1 star for a doorbell that doesn't chime out of the box. I opted to add their Home Hub Pro for this purpose and to also use it as an NVR, but that unit has issues behind a VLAN that Reolink doesn't seem to know how to fix. Due to that, I can't set up Home Assistant integrations the way I would like. I'm not about to change my whole network strategy for one brand and especially not one with internet connected cameras.Second issue is no pet detection and the "other" detection you can use as an alternative is all or nothing - you can't set up zones like the other detections so I was getting notified for every leaf that blew across my lawn. Not good. Docked another star.I didn't use it long enough to measure battery life, but I was losing maybe 1% per day once I had sensitivity and detection zones dialed in. That's acceptable for me. Would be nice to have a solar panel option for people without doorbell wiring though.
