A few years ago, I bought an Autovox Solar 1 backup system for my Camry. I went with solar because I wanted easy installation. I was not disappointed. At that time, I lived in an area where it rarely rained. The backup system worked perfectly. Since that time, I moved to an area where it rains a lot, and the car was parked outside. A few months later, the battery was not holding charge. I contacted Autovox. Even though the warranty had expired quite a while ago, customer service representative (Gigi) sent me a new camera panel at a deeply discounted price. After some months, the battery on this camera seems not to hold charge. I say seems because, the charging seems inconsistent, sometimes holding charge and sometimes not.When I contacted Autovox, Gigi, (one of the two best customer service people that I ever encountered), recommended that I consider this system with a 5000mAh battery. I purchased the system. Once the system arrived, I charged the battery and as expected, installation was a snap.This is definitely an upgrade from my original system. The battery charger and the activation button are on the sides instead of at the bottom of the solar panel, which is more convenient. The monitor at 1080P gives a very crisp picture. The quality of the picture even in low light is good. The antenna is inside the monitor. It was a short stub on the previous system. This system also came with a monitor holder. The monitor cable is long enough that it could be routed to any convenient location. The monitor connector that plugs into the lighter has a USB charging port, very useful feature for charging the phone. (Solar 1 did not have that feature). The 5000mAh battery is nice. The camera comes alive when the car starts. The camera can also be activated by pushing the button on the plugin connector. a feature that I like. (Solar 1 also had this feature). The menu makes setup easy. I have not tested the dual camera feature yet.I am parking the car in the garage and will know in a year how the battery on this system holds up. I am happy that I bought this system. Big part of the reason to stick with Autovox is that they stand behind their product.

This backup camera is the top of the line. My two sisters have new cars and my backup camera system is better than theirs. I love the time set you can adjust. Battery life is incredible with solar system. Still at 100%. So easy to install it's ridiculous. Grandma could install this. Only took about 5 minutes! Why buy cheaper one that you have to wire. It is worth every dollar. Monitor and camera mounting is top notch. Video is great. I love settings you can adjust easily. Waste your money on a cheap camera and you will be sorry. My son installed my two cameras on my vehicles. Good quality, Video, good mounting and good signals connecting. It is built to last even riding on rough bumpy roads. It was everything advertised and more.

The AUTO-VOX Solar Wireless Backup Camera with 5" 1080P Monitor is a good addition to my vehicle. This is my second one. Setup took a little longer because my license plate frame brackets didn't quite line up but, with no complicated wiring required this is a good aftermarket product for my car without reverse camera. The 5" 1080P monitor provides a clear and sharp image, day or night, making parking and reversing much safer. It will take a little adjustment to the offset of the camera (not centered) but I think it will be fine. The wireless signal is generally reliable, and the solar charging feature is a great way to keep the battery charged. Overall, it's a convenient and effective backup camera system.

Wanted a wireless backup camera since didn't want to have to wire it through my rear engined car. This did the trick for me, and to boot, I could transfer it between vehicles since you can assign each car a channel. So it worked well for my needs, the camera is easy to move from one license plate frame to another, and the clarity of the screen is great. The battery so far after a full charge is still on full after a couple of months despite my car being parked in a garage. No issues so far with quality. Set up can't be easier as well. Very pleased on the flexibility, quality, usefulness and economy of scale of the back up camera system.

I've only had this since yesterday afternoon but I am ultra impressed. It is no joke when they say this thing takes 2 minutes to set up. Easy peasy. You take off your license plate, put the charged up camera on the car with the license place over the mount and use the same screws to put the camera and plate back in place. Plug in the monitor to the cigarette lighter and that's it! You are good to go. There is sticky tape to mount the camera on the dash. The camera lens can move up or down a bit, the monitor can swivel. You set how long you want the view to stay on, 30 seconds up to 2 minutes. The picture is amazing, it's better than my built in one in my 2021 minivan. I'm interested to see how long it goes without a charge. I am so happy to have such an easy fast way to get a back up camera, reasonably priced, without having one professionally installed. I was quote $350+ to have one put in. A+ so far!

Same unit is swapped/used for two vehicles. One newer vehicle when occasional hitch mounted full size spare is attached, and for an older vehicle that's used for out of state excursions. This backup camera is cheap insurance to avoid a minor collision or worse. Every time I charge the camera it is already close to full charge. Video quality (day and night) is good, with useful wide angle view, as should be expected. Would be nice if there was option for two display mounts and option for universal hardware kit. I had hardware in my garage and there are universal mounts that work for vehicle swap. Customer service is outstanding.
