The only one for the job
I tried other mounts for my work vehicle. I drive over rough roads and while I love the convenience of MagSafe mounts, they aren’t capable of holding a phone securely on a potholed and washboard road.This is the only one I felt comfortable with trusting. It’s secure, only occasionally loses its suction on the windshield and can be modified to meet my needs, e.g. I bought a longer arm to put it closer to my reach.My only gripe is for the price, it should be possible to mount and unmount with one hand. It’s awkward to use two hands and basically I have to fully reenter the cab and sit down to unmount my phone if I forget it. Not a deal breaker but a minor inconvenience.That’s all I have to say. No regrets but it could have a bit more convenience engineered into it for the price.Side note not related to the actual product: I did end up attaching a MagSafe puck to the mount so it will automatically charge my phone when it’s mounted. It also has the benefit of perfectly aligning the phone in the mount.

This particular purchase was a gift. That being said I have had my original for maybe 6 years now and I couldn't live without it. I bought mine after someone recommended it to me. These are built to last!

Doesn't stay upright
First, this is a very well built car phone holder. But, the problem I have found, and have not been able to fix is, after you put your phone in the grips, it rotates. It has, in my case, a 45 degree rotation. So after it grips my phone it will still turn almost sideways. I have tried to fix this via rubber bands, but to no avail. I am now trying a new holder to keep my phone upright.
