Fantastic set of sizes and lengths. Checked dimensions and all were spot on.I don't have a 3D printer but I planed to use these while building a 12V power distribution panel from a sheet of ABS. Test run went perfectly installing 5mm inserts and then attaching a fuse block.However, after a health delay, the project went a different direction using sheet metal rather than ABS. So, this kit and the ABS sheet are on my shelf waiting for another application.

These was a great addition to my 3D and plastic related projects. I even used some to repair a vacuum clear that the plastic shell over the brush had come lose.

These threaded heat inserts from Zwmssll work well for 3D printing. I ordered a 110-pack of M3x5x4 inserts which measure roughly 5mm high/long and 4mm wide. The smaller than average width means they have relatively thin walls. However, they thread nicely onto M3 bolts and work well once pressed into the plastic.

I use heat-set inserts all the time for my 3d printing projects as well as for some 3d printed products that I sell. I've probably used over a thousand m3 inserts in my time so far, and I have a pretty good idea of which ones work well.This kit is the good ones. In my experience, the best ones are the dual-opposing-knurled ones that also have a lead in. This kit has a lot of different sizes and lengths, and can be super useful if you just need a couple of an odd size, or if you're testing and want to pick the right size one for larger order amounts.I really like that the kit comes latched, taped shut, and that each size is individually bagged. Makes it pretty impossible for them to get mixed up. Good stuff.

I was looking for a better solution or some of my 3d printed projects for screwing pieces together other than trying to add threaded holes to the prints, which can be a weak solution. These work great, I leave a slightly smaller hole than the diameter of the insert, then heat one of these up and fasten them into the print and they appear to stay in pretty well, then i can use standard screws to screw into them. They have really increased the quality of my printed projects.
