Ok this thing is such better quality than you might expect. One tip is to that to get the trigger to set, you have to pull the barrel all the way back (you open it up/pull it back to load it, but KEEP pulling it back) until it sort of catches-that sets it to shoot. Shoots pretty far! Great find!

It shoots well and is theoretically very fun to use, but the grip is too small for me to hold comfortably. I don't think a child would be able to hold it without discomfort, even.

This is a very cool, well-built, and fun toy. It's very sturdy and is close to a 1:1 recreation of a double-barrel shotgun. It has a good weight and feels tough, though I wouldn't make a habit of dropping it.I plan on using this for a Doomslayer cosplay, so I'll be modifying it. To that end, this is a fantastic base for a cosplay prop! Again, it's very sturdy and has great "action" on the trigger, the top-break, and reloading features. The shells pop out when the barrels are fully opened and locked, and when fired, there is a satisfying "click-click" in the trigger pull to eject the darts.Really fun! Really great for cosplay. I wouldn't recommend this to young children, but 10 and older, who can understand safety? Sure!

I've gotten a few toy dart guns off Amazon, and they've been... mostly okay. But this one takes the cake. First, it came in a real box, with color artwork, so it's already got a leg up there. But imagine my surprise when I opened up said box and found a hefty, solid toy dart gun that shoots across the house without batteries... no assembly required! It comes with plenty of extra darts and shell casings (it can only be loaded with two shells at a time, but it came with a bunch of extras in case you lose some or your dog chews them or whatever), and I'm still over the moon with it. The break action is so satisfying to use, and when you reload it, the old spent shells go flying! I've gotten the hang of catching both of them midair, which feels undeniably cool. And the power! I shot myself close range to rest and this thing pops! It hurt a little - not enough to cause injury or leave a mark, mind you, but it was mildly unpleasant. Which is awesome! Exactly the kind of power you hope for when you get one of these things.I can't sing it's praises enough, it's a real joy to shoot and reload. It's not often the reload process is almost as entertaining as actually shooting, but this toy manages to do it. It is super sturdy and well made - I dropped it pretty hard and the barrels, which are the flimsiest part of the toy, got a little janky but it still shoots great and works just fine. I'd recommend this to anyone that wants a fun toy dart gun that packs a bit of a punch!
