Once filled with butane, the lighter works as expected with a powerful jet flame. Sometimes it doesn't light first try and requires a second click to light. The flame is initially blue but after a second or so turns green as it heats up.The power of the flame can be adjusted via a screw on the bottom. I didn't receive the tool other people received to adjust it but a small screwdriver works just as well.As I understand it, the copper sulfate that turns the flame green will eventually run out leaving a normal blue lighter. I don't know how long it will remain green but it is a nice effect while it lasts.When I ordered this lighter, it was priced at £4.99, which I thought was a good price. However, as I write the review, it has increased to £9.99, which is not such good value.

Cool lighter, sturdy and well made, metal construction so should hold up to some rough and tumble. The flame is indeed green and adds some flare to your lighting.My only issue is that its very difficult to dial in the flame properly, its easy to overshoot and the flow is too high to light, or its too weak to hold a flame, it took about 20 attempts to get it just right for me, but on the upside its a one time thing so not marking it down for that.Will be using this for camping/survival kit as I don't smoke but it should hold up will in the elements.

The media could not be loaded. I like the design of this lighter.I like the fact it's great to hold - not too heavy and too big. Just right.However, my issue is with its working which is poor in my opinion.I filled it with gas. It doesn't light straight away and I have to click it 2-3 times before the light comes up.The flame initially is not visible so I'm not sure if it's on or not.The green flame comes up after a short while, and some other times after longer while. It is also not the strength I'd expect. I have some other 'jet flames' lighters which work much better.On a higher setting (more gas) works better but uses lots of gas.Low score only because of the way it works. Love the design though.

Filled it and tried numerous positions of the adjustment screw, but nope. Intermittent, usually not at all and often a blue flame. Very poor. Seems a hit or miss affair, according to reviews.

No more struggling with matches that extinguish at the faintest breath of wind!At just 60 grams, it's incredibly lightweight, almost like carrying an extra pen. I've tucked it into my bag for whenever we go camping, or for bonfire nights at the beach, and it's come in handy more times than I can count. Refilling it with butane is straightforward, though it would be better if butane were included from the start.As a mum constantly on the go, it feels satisfying to have a reliable lighter that makes these small tasks more fun. Highly recommended!

This is a nice lighter, you need to use a little tool to adjust the gas flow, but it works fine, it's the modern kind that look like a blow tourch, but the different thing is that this one burns green, which is quiet novel. lights easily and works well.

This is a nice compact lighter, which was easy to fill but it's not the most effective.It arrives in packaging which is quite nice, and could be given as a gift.Its not the most effective lighter, it usually takes a number of presses to ignite, and it won't ignite at all if the adjustment screw is set to max.The flame therefore is always quite small, so it's fine for lighting cigarettes but not so good for lighting wood burners or bonfires.The green flame is different, but a bit of a gimmick.At £9.99 the price is okay, but not a bargain.I hope you find my review helpful.

This is a neat little lighter that feels robust and pleasantly heavy in the hand.It comes in an attractive cardboard gift box with "Lighter" written on the lid.Filling was more or less straightforward using a regular butane canister with no special adapters required, though I did find I had to wiggle the can slightly to get it to fill right up.A small metal tool is included for adjusting the flame, though a small flat-blade screwdriver could be used. The adjustment took a minute to get it just right, but it now consistently lights every time, and the it burns a bright green colour due to the lump of metal (copper?) suspended in the flame.I'm dropping one star because it sounds like the gas continues to flow for a few seconds after letting go of the trigger. This doesn't affect the lighter working, however.Overall, not bad value for money.
