OtterBoxiPhone 16 Pro Defender Series Case - Black

I've used Otterbox phone protectors since I got my first iPhone years and years ago. I am an avid gardener and I have a crazy English cream retriever so between those two things, my phone can end up on the ground unexpectedly. These covers have saved my phone over and over again, that is why I am loyal to this brand. They do feel a little bulky, but I am quite OK with that as that means protection for my phone. There is easy accessibility to the buttons, even with that ”bulk.” To me, they are well worth the money as they last a really long time.

Good quality. came in a box.excellent textured rubbery grip on the back and edges.2 layers protection add extra bulk and weight.sufficiently raised lip at the top and bottom edge. sides are almost flushed to the edge with a screen protector.open cut out on the shutter button is convenient but vulnerable to damage.good protection against clean concrete surfaces or carpets

I've been buying Otterbox products ever since I got my first iPod and have never been disappointed. Their products are made to last and they have performed well for me for many years. I recently upgraded my iPhone 12 to the 16 Pro and without a second thought purchased this new one. Its fit and finish is flawless and is, in my opinion the best iPhone protection you can buy. While OtterBox product's are more expensive than other low priced cases, in my opinion, which is based on personal experience, the extra cost is well worth the money.If I had one complaint it would be that my previous purchases always came with a clip on belt clip and, unfortunately, OtterBox no longer includes one.

This otterbox has a different feel than the 14 pro version, but I still prefer it over other brands. It was easy to put on, even with camera/screen protectors already on. I really like the charging port cover, that’s one of the big selling points for why I have gotten nothing but Otterbox defenders since my first iPhone 4. That, and I have never had a phone break or crack while in a defender case. I tried another brand when I first got the 16 pro, just to see if anything else would be better. It wasn’t. I dropped my phone once and the screen protector shattered all to heck. I went on Amazon and immediately bought another defender case. I didn’t think I would like the divot in the side for the action button, but I actually like how my thumb fits in it (I have my action button off, not sure if it’s annoying when turned on). The feel of the case is grippy, but not an uncomfortable grippy. Overall a very good purchase!

The quality of the case overall feels durable, with one exception—the area around the new side camera button. The plastic there is quite thin and flexible, which makes me worry it might break over time. The full rubber exterior provides a nice grip, but it also creates a lot of friction. Taking my phone in and out of my pocket is a bit of a hassle, often pulling out other items or even the pocket liner. That said, I did drop my phone once from about three feet, and the case protected it well. Hoping I don’t have to test it from any higher! Overall, for the price, I can only give it 4 stars.

Definitely a great investment since I’m constantly dropping and hitting my iPhone. It’s a must if you care about avoiding cracked or broken phones. Not too bulky and button protection is something very much needed.

Senders sent me the wrong phone case despite me ordering the correct case.I used to love otter box cases but now a days I’ve seen a decline in their quality.They no longer come with the front cover. I ordered this case specifically for that. Not sure why they stopped having the front barrier to the top portion of the case but it’s not what I wanted and so I’m returning it.Value of the item for the money is not worth it.Seems like it would be functional but I was sent the wrong case so I won’t know if it even works properly and I wouldn’t even reorder the same case because it just seems over priced for what you get.

Long time dedicated fan of this otter ox. Has saved my phone from my millions of accidental drops over and over again. I would definitely consider pairing this with a glass protector though.
