I liked Miyoo devices so much, I bought one for my niece as well, and she also loves it. I recommend switching to OnionOS and downloading Done Set 2 with the Famicom folder fix from Internet Archive. I also recommend replacing the internal microSD card. The SD card is the only weak point of this product. It's very sturdy, holds a lengthy charge, and the screen is great.

Love Miyoo Minis but this one was smaller than others I have had and was too small for my hands to play for long duration of time

It is everything you are buying and more. Works amazing out of the box and has a simple file system that makes it incredibly simple to add your own games. Has a crisp screen and a removable battery. Will probably order an another as a backup since this build offers so many possibilities. Oh and the build quality is fantastic for the price you are paying. Not to mention a nice case and screen protectors.

Wish I had known just how good this device was before I got two Anbernic devices. These buttons just feel and sound leagues better than the CubeXX, RG35XXSP, and the RG40XX H to me. This is very small compared to those of course, but I was looking for something super small. Something I could easily throw in my pocket, and this really hits the mark. It's the width of my phone, and it's much thinner than other handhelds out there, so it fits in my pocket pretty darn well. You can feel that it's in the pocket, but it's still very pocketable. Also, the sound from the built in speaker is much better than I expected.

Purchased for my wife. She likes it but realistically you would need to reformat the console to play some things.

The media could not be loaded. I really wanted to give this neat little handheld five stars, but there were a few problems I encountered along the way. The first device I was sent would not boot up at all. The battery was clearly charged, and the power button would fire up its green light but nothing would appear on the screen. It was a brick. After requesting an exchange, I did receive one that worked properly a few days later.My biggest problem with the Miyoo is that the front-end game loader doesn't really work all that well. You pretty much have to go into RetroArch, manually select your ROM, and open it with the correct emulator core. If you're familiar with RetroArch, it isn't difficult, but it can be tedious scrolling through a large ROM collection. Even with NES ROMs placed in the proper folder, there was no way I could fire them up with Miyoo's front-end software. I had to open RetroArch manually.I also had to tweak the settings in RetroArch to get the correct aspect ratio for each game. This is stuff that should already be preconfigured before it ships but is not. For those not familiar with how to change the settings in RA, it could be very frustrating. Luckily, I was able to get this working to my satisfaction due to my knowledge of RetroArch.I'm giving it four stars because once everything is properly configured, the games will play wonderfully. The screen looks sharp and I'm satisfied with the D-pad and fire buttons. My biggest complaint is that the V4 just isn't quite ready to go out of the box. If you're willing to spend the time fixing a few bugs, the Miyoo V4 can be worth that investment. If you're easily frustrated when stuff doesn't work right, you'll probably be sending this back.
