Great power monitor for multiple devices
I installed a mini split in my garage so I could be comfortable year 'round and offset the 110 degree southwest summers and remove the winter chill. But I was out of town for a several weeks in the summer and accidently left it on high cool which resulted in an extra $350 in power bills. This device tells me exactly how much that mini split uses and will alert me if it exceeds certain limits in a day so can I catch problems like that immediately. I also installed an outdoor sauna and was worried how much it costs so we limited the kids using it. Turns out the expense is way less than I'd expected. So now everyone gets to enjoy it. It's nice to know where the money is going and have measures in place to make sure I don't make mistakes like last summer again. I export and archive the data in excel and can see trends and historical data, which is great.

Worst installation documents I have ever seen.
I am pretty handy with installation of this type of product but this unit is awful. The directions are very confusing and I still can't get the product to even come on.Update 10-23-2024. I was able to get the system up and running without the directions. So far it is working as advertised. Once the power was up and running the setup was quick and trouble free.

Does not work properly
Followed there instructions and contacted the help line does not read right Some show up as a positive and some show a negative number. App is very unclear and there reports are even worse.

Really good
Would buy again.Updates fixed my one issue.Really great for the price. Would still be solid if priced like other multi channel whole home energy monitors.

Easy install, pretty decent app integration, problems with monitoring setup
Master electrician here- I used to install power monitoring for large retailers, so I have experience with these types of systems. This one monitors over WiFi as advertised, but to enable use on 1 and 3 phase systems they included 3 voltage reference wires (Cphase is colored green instead of blue which is totally crazy), but CT clamps come preassigned to phases, that results in negative readings on any that have to go on different phases. For example, I'm using A clamps for my A leg of 2 pole breakers, B clamps for my B leg of 2 pole breakers, and C clamps for the single phase breakers, which I am monitoring 3 on each leg. I put the C voltage reference on the A leg, so half of the C clamps reference the correct voltage and read correctly but the other half read negative since the voltage reference is 180 degrees out of phase. Flipping the CTs backwards does correct it, but they need to sell 2 different models for 1 and 3 phase systems or allow -1 voltage correction for each channels like the big manufacturers do. Added a pic of pro systems I've installed elsewhere.I'll update review if they come up with a robust solution.

Some clamps report negative
[UPDATE 11/13/24]Customer support has been excellent. They added support with Home Assistant, and it works great. They say that they will also add a feature to be able to invert clamps in software, which would fix the other issue and make this five stars. The hardware looked good, but upon installing some of my circuits showed negative power (contributing to the grid) when they should have shown positive power (pulling from the grid). I assumed that I must have put them on backwards, but I took the panel apart and confirmed that they were installed correctly. I flipped those ones backwards and now they work properly, but it's a bit ridiculous to have to do the install twice. I thought that this worked with Home Assistant, but it seems that only the EU version (EM06) works. I wrote to support asking about these issues, and got a generic unhelpful response. That said, the app is pretty good and I haven't decided whether it's worth going into my crowded panel yet again to replace this with a better system.

Did not deliver reliable data
I was trying to figure out the main power hungry appliances on my off-grid house. However the data on the app was not reliable: often with 2-3 channels reading no value. I don't know if this is an app or hardware issue. In general the app was not intuitive.

A Solid Choice with Room for Improvement
I recently upgraded my home with this energy monitor hoping to gain better insight into my power usage. The installation process was more or less smooth, but was a little confusing since I am not an electrician. The system's integration with Home Assistant is a big plus! I have been slowly, but surely making everything in my home smart and this is a big one for sure. Unfortunately, the app's functionality is a little lacking in customization for sensor labels which makes distinguishing between circuits a bit tedious.Though not without its initial challenges, the monitor ultimately performs as expected. I feel like the price is well worth it, and with a few software tweaks, it could be an excellent tool for those looking to optimize their home energy use. For now, I'm happy with the purchase but hope to see enhancements in the future!
