My 3rd grade granddaughter did a book report and project on this book. She enjoyed it and gave it a 5 star rating. She compared it to the Magic Tree House series, which she loves.

S. Adler has given a fine story about two siblings who visit their magical Auntie and embark on an adventure in the woods. There they meet a talking moose and set out to find and kill the whispering monster that has been haunting the woods. Magic abounds in the story. Good work S.

A read this with my nephew - he absolutely loved it. The story was easy to read (and hard to put down). The illustrations were cute too.
