I ordered the #Kojcijs Telescopic RV Awning Opener for removing/replacing a cantilever umbrella cover. I have a 10' x 15' umbrella that when closed stands about 10-11' feet tall. Putting and removing a cover and zipping it up is no easy task and requires a tall step stool. This telescopic opener makes those tasks so much easier. The two hooks make operating the zipper possible without the use of a step stool or ladder. They also help in putting the cover on and off. This thing is so useful and I don't even own an RV.

This works all right and collapses to a pretty reasonable size, unfortunately the slide mechanism doesn't lock at all which means it doesn't operate very well on stickier or tighter mechanisms. For our little adventure trailer which is older it isn't sturdy enough to reliably actuate the awning switch. Could we get up on a ladder and oil and clean it so it did? Yeah, probably but since this product was intended to save effort that kinda defeats the point.Works all right, but if you have a stubborn awning switch then it may not be able to apply enough force.

Amazing product for the price. Well made and sturdy enough when locked to push the open/close tab on a manual awning. Simple but smart design - can't beat it for the price!

The product wasn’t able to attach the hook due to the hole not being big enough and it wasn’t threaded.

Perfect for opening and closing the awning on my 30+ year old RV. I bought my RV used and there was nothing included to open/close the awning. This extends more than enough to get the job done. I like how the sections twist and lock for added security.

This telescoping hook works perfectly. The mechanism is smooth. It’s very sturdy when fully extended. It’s a good quality hook. I’ve been using it to manage the bird feeders when they’re empty and after they’ve been filled.

I love everything about this awning pole except...it is designed for the hook to be removed from the end. Why would anyone need to remove the hook? It's a little aggravating when trying to open the section next to the hook because I just naturally grab the hook for leverage. But instead of opening the last section, I usually end up unscrewing the hook. Thank goodness for its other redeeming qualities: lightweight, compact, easy to use and, by the way, versatile. I haven't actually had an opportunity to use it on my awning. But my neighbor accidentally landed a boomerang on the edge of my roof and using this pole, I was able to hook it and get it down without having to pull out a ladder. A use I had not anticipated. My favorite quality is its compactness. I'm so tired of reaching into the storage compartment to get the looong awning pole and having to twist and turn it every which way to get it past all the obstacles in the way. That's no longer a problem. Plus the old pole is so skinny it tends to get buried underneath everything else making it hard to locate. This one fits nicely next to the wall right at the opening to the storage compartment and has enough thickness that finding it is not a problem. It makes a nice addition to our camping equipment.
