This is totally worth it and needed for GoPro 4. I am just not happy that my GoPro 3 battery doesn't work on the 4. At least all the accessory work but not the battery which is why I gave it 4 stars because I felt this was a waste of money when I spent a fortune on GoPro 3 battery and can't even use it on the GoPro 4

This is a 5-Star review because I am rating the battery, not my experience... I had bought a GoPro Hero 4 Black combo pack which included the GoPro, 32gb micro SD, extra GoPro brand battery, GoPro brand 3-way selfi stick and a GoPro brand head strap. Everything looked perfect when it arrived, until I inspected the included extra battery. Come to find out, it was a battery for a Hero 3, not the Hero 4 which I ordered. This may sound like a common mistake by Amazon or whatnot, but what makes this interesting was the Hero 3 battery was in a SEALED Hero 4 packaging... I know this because Hero 4 battery packaging says on the front "Hero 4 Accessory". But there was a GPH3 battery inside... Didn't make me upset at all, I was actually quite puzzled... Of course, Amazon had the correct battery at my door step the very next day before I could even return the other one. Just thought I would share my story. Great product. A little expensive due to GP brand name, but I would rather use GP accessories:-)

The battery is from November 2016 and I am writing this in March 2023. It has sat in storage for some time. Hopefully it works as intended. 4 stars for selling a battery from 2016.I will do a test to see how ling it will run for and update my review.**Update** Battery passed the 104 minute recording mark using 1080p/30fps on a GoPro Hero 4 Silver. Works as good as new.

The GoPro Battery sent is 9 years old, having a manufacture date of 2016, It's beyond its useful life.
