Okay, but not great
I'm a teacher, a workshop director, and an artist who does public lectures - so I've used my fair share of voice amplifiers. For the price point, this is not a bad unit, but I encountered several issues (mostly minor, but they add up).The physical build quality of the unit is alright, so no worries there. The problems are more to do with the sound quality - there is definite distortion and a slight delay (owed to the Bluetooth I'm sure) which can easily throw off a speaker and make it more difficult for the audience to hear clearly what is being said.Overall, it's an okay amp if you're on a budget or working a small room (like a 20-student classroom) where distances aren't great enough to trigger the delay and you don't need to put the volume at a level where distortion will kick in). For professional purposes, I'm afraid this is a pass for me.

Handy!
I can speak quite loudly but in a larger open space, my voice doesn't carry. I do give lectures outdoors with my garden club at times and making announcements at gatherings or organizing groups in many settings above giving lectures is something that surprised me with this. It is lightweight and can be carried most anywhere. Very handy when I need to get folks to hear me make an announcement.

Works great inside..........
I guess i was hoping the sound would carry better outdoors than it does, which is where i need it, indoors it does great! Nice sound range that doesnt break up. Battery seems to last quite a while. Not a bad amp for the price point

Decent Speaker at this Price Point
I give this 3.5 stars. The other reviewers have covered the poor instructions and challenges with figuring out the amplifier and microphone, and I agree that there are issues with walking around the room and moving away from the speaker. However, for this price point, I would say it's a great entry level option for speaking to a group, especially if you are using slide presentation and will stay at the front of the room. I would test out the equipment for the optimal distance from the amplifier to create the best quality experience for the audience. There is a slight echo/delay at certain volume and distance, and it's worth practicing to get that distance correct. Once that is figured out, this is a great little set for speaking on the fly. I have walked into rooms where the sound system didn't work, and this is a great alternative to shouting. While this is not going to be effective in a large auditorium, it's ideal for smaller groups/classrooms and when doing speeches or presentations at fundraisers or events. Again, not perfect, but definitely a useful tool in a pinch -- practice and knowing the equipment makes reasonably good presentations.
