It's a Safe
Well worth the price. Heavy...love the four ways to access the safe biometric, number setting, via mobile app, and key entry. My last safe, which I owned for ten years was only accessible with a biometric fingerprint and a swipe card, however once the electronics failed, I couldn't open the safe and I had to use a metal cutting blade on my chop saw to get it open.I like the interior light and the bright red LED clock.Only one caveat. It gives the temperature and humidity setting but that applies to the interior of the safe, not the outside room temperature or humidity.Last note, it is heavy and it comes with a tie down cable which you can secure to some immovable or secured object. I have mine tied to my bed headboard post.

It is worth the money.
It works perfectly for its intended purpose. I only wish there was a suitable location for a permanent mount, but something will eventually come to me. Highly recommended product, oh tamper notification is very sensitive. I dropped a charge cable on it and the tamper alert notification went off. Anyway, love it and you just might too.

Pricey but worth it
Although pricey the safe is heavy and well made, came very well packaged. Easy to set up. Front display informative and well light with ability to dim by 2.0 app along with the light inside. App is easy to use, charging pad at top of the safe works well with phone centered. The led ring around charging pad a nice touch, the keypad for code is nice n bright as well. Finger biometrics works well 95 % of the time, but you can add to the programing feature the same finger or others many times to improve to 100%. The backup battery compartment is tricky to get to with big hands and for the price of the safe they could have included a set of lithium batteries. The only reason for 4 stars is the bluetooth is behind the times and would be nice to have a connection via wifi so you can keep an eye on things when your not a home. All in all I would buy again, I would not by 2 because the 5 fits perfectly a full size hand gun and three mags. It also come with an anchor cable, thats a nice touch so you dont have to drill your furniture to secure. The programing buttons are easy to use once you find them and must position you finger quickly when in programming mode.

Bought this for my husband for his birthday. Absolutely loves it. Great design and comes with a cord and lock to latch onto our bedframe. Fantastic product!

Don't use rechargeable battery inside this
I dont know if everyone wants this but I like it and it is good for me. Just one thing, use a non rechargeable battery for this thing. Rechargeable batteries will not hold a charge longer then a week.

Display randomly changes
The display constantly changes on its on, randomly. I have it set to display only the time. It’ll go blank, like up full bright and display every character/option. It’s a piece of junk.

The Vaultek Gun Safe – A $500 Statement Piece of "Meh"
Let’s get real—this thing is huge. Like, "Is that a safe or a mini fridge?" huge. And yet, despite its impressive bulk, it barely fits a VPL handgun. For something that looks like it could store the Ark of the Covenant, it’s wildly underwhelming. It’s like buying an SUV that can only carry one suitcase—it doesn’t add up.Now, the Vaultek is meant to be displayed out in the open, and for $500, you’d expect it to make a statement. And it does—but not the one you want. It’s more “Look at this enormous thing I overpaid for!” than “sleek and functional centerpiece.” It’s just there, sitting awkwardly, taking up way too much space for how little it holds. If you’re going to put something this massive in your living room, it should at least double as a coffee table or small shelter.Let’s talk features. Bluetooth app support exists, but finding the right app is like a scavenger hunt you didn’t sign up for. Vaultek apparently thought having multiple apps was a great idea, so good luck figuring out which one will actually talk to your safe. The USB ports on the back? Fantastic. No complaints. The charging pads? Temperamental at best—they work sometimes, but not enough to rely on.As for the alarm function? I thought I’d at least get a wake-up alarm since this thing looks like it could double as an overpriced bedside block. Nope. No alarm. No nothing. It’s just there, staring at you silently, offering little more than existential dread about your purchase. The display is clear, sure, but the app’s control options are about as advanced as a ‘90s Tamagotchi. If you’re hoping for slick, intuitive features, prepare to be disappointed.Bottom line: For $500, you’re getting a massive, oddly-shaped safe that demands attention but delivers little functionality. If you’re okay with having an expensive piece of furniture that screams “WHY?” while barely holding your handgun and some charging cables, go for it. Otherwise, save your money and get something that’s actually practical.
