Best pen
If you own a Microsoft Surface tablet you need to have the pen. I lost the original one and needed to have have a replacement. Purchased the no name brand was very unhappy with it. Spent a few more dollars and got the original Microsoft pen and I'm extremely happy with it.

The real Thing is still the best
I know this stylus is expensive. I know it's a ripoff. But I've tried buying the knock off versions and they're just not as good. The magnet on this holds like it in a vice. The knock off versions don't hold at all. This linked within seconds to my surface with no thinking on my part while the others work well but just not as well. In the end I figured I buy another pen every couple of years because I either lose the other and it's only a few dollars a month more to not have any regrets.

Bought Two. Both Stopped Writing
I bought one of these for school and it lasted a few months at which point it stopped writing, but the buttons still work. Microsoft will fix it under warranty, but I figured I wanted a spare on hand anyway so I bought another one. About a month later, the same issue developed with the new pen (THE WEEK OF FINALS). Oddly, at both times, each pen was working fine until I got up for a break and came back a while later to find that it just wouldn't write. Reconnecting Bluetooth doesn't fix the problem. Neither does changing the battery. These pens are $100. When they work, they function really well. But this seems like too specific an occurrence, where both pens failed in the same way, for it to be an uncommon or unforeseeable issue. They're just too faulty to rely upon, so if you plan on using it for anything critical think again. On a separate but related note, I bought a Surface Book 3 as well which had to go in under warranty 2 months out of the box because the screen discolored itself. I just can't say I'm anywhere satisfied with my investment here! If you're a student, or need to use these tools extensively, I'd check into something else.On the plus side, Microsoft's customer support team has actually been really good! I mean, I would have preferred to have never needed to contact them at all, but since I've had to several times now I've found that they're helpful, friendly, and easy to understand.
