Great value
Great small laptop/tablet-great value for the money. Easy setup, quick startup. Feels sturdy -love the easy detachable keyboard. Touch screen works great and screen protector is included. Appreciate that the display works horizontal or vertical.

The tablet itself is worth it.
Very helpful and fast. The 2-1 feature really comes in handy when you just want to watch a show or something like YouTube.

Serviceable, But the Stand Design Is a Big Problem When Using as a Laptop
My daughter wanted the much more expensive name brand 2-in-1 computer. Much to her disappointment, Mom purchased this value option with strong computing power. The TPV computer was 1/3 of the cost the specs good. My child is on her third computer in 3-years of high school and I wasn't about to pay $1,500 for a computer for her. She HATED the TPV at first, because how can you be cool at school when Mom is going for value??? She complained constantly for a week or so and then gave up when we didn't give in.Her main complaints are the keyboard attaches differently than the name brand, the keyboard charges separately, and the stand is a disaster. With time, she came to accept her fate and learned to live in harmony with the TPV. (We've had it for 5-months now.)Overall it's a good option. The computing power is plenty strong for her high school needs. It reacts quickly, the screen is clear, bright, and responsive, battery life is good, and she likes the small size. (Apparently, she needs a small computer that's about the size of her books to prevent banging it on corners at the school while moving between classes. Who knew?? ... There was glass coming out of the 15.6" laptop we replaced and the corners were banged up.)The biggest problem with the TPV RenoPad is the stand. We agree on this complaint. It's not permanently attached and constantly falls out. There are tabs you put in a slot. and then slide them over to lock them in. It's not very tight so the tabs slide around and fall out. This design makes it impossible to use in your lap in computer form. One time when the stand failed while on her desk at school, the computer knocked over her teachers coffee cup and it was a whole scene. Not good when you're trying to fly under the radar with your maypop computer! I received a barrage of angry texts that day. She came up with a plan to resolve this issue. Still trying to live in harmony with it, she hot glued the stand to the back of the computer to prevent this problem. It's come unglued a time or two after that and she hot glued it again. I imagine if we could find a compatible case for it this problem could be overcome. The cases are all designed for specific computers and warn of being frequently returned which has made me afraid to order something. The whole situation came to a head in the these past couple of weeks when she lost the charging cord for the keyboard, It's unique, some type of unusual two pin magnetic thing. I replaced it with something I found on Amazon but the replacement doesn't work. She has school work to do and cannot continue to go without an actual keyboard. She'd been saving her own money since my maypop purchase. This morning she purchased the laptop version of the name brand because it's less expensive than the 2-in-1.I've reached out to the manufacture about the cable issue and they seem to be able to send me a new one. I was instructed to reach back out as they're currently celebrating the "May Day" Holiday time. I figure I will hang onto the TPV and use it for myself when I want something more portable than my larger laptop. Hopefully I can find a case for it to overcome the poor stand design, which is the reason for 4-stars.

It works - but you will spend a lot of time struggling with a lot of things while you own it
I started buying this because the Asus that i used to buy many of is no longer in production. It works ok, but like all unknown brands you pay a lot in struggle with this, struggle with that. The keyboard works, but you almost have to pair it daily - huge frustration. The LCD is clear, but not as clear as others. The peripherals work, but not all of them. I was very happy with the Asus devices at the same price point, but wow this is just one huge frustration. I will never buy an unknown laptop brand again - the reviews on this was good, but I guess from people for whom spending an hour a day struggling with technology is normal

excellent tablet, crisp display, long battery life and sufficient speed to run my apps.
Nice machine. Good replacement/backup for my main laptop.Very good display, speedy enough to run my apps (various statistical and MCMC apps), long battery life. The wireless keyboard was a pleasant experience. No problems with setting it up for Office 360 and other standard apps. The only very minor downside, in a quiet room, one can hear the fan. Would recommend others consider buying.
