Q: Height between shelves?

The height between the top panel and the middle panel is 12.36 inch, the height between the middle panel and the bottom panel is 11.81 inch. The height of the whole console table is 29.72 inch.

Q: Can you please tell me if the metal frame is black, dark brown?

The frame is black. I loved it so I purchased another one. Great quality for the price.

Q: 2 questions 1) are the shelves real wood or MDF ? 2) is it made in America?

Table is made very well. I did not note any "made in America" tags, so it probably isn't. Shelves are made of a hard finish (some sort of hard haterial) over what is likely mdf. Sturdy, nicely finished, but this is not a hand finished wood product. Steel supports are heave and assembly is firm and steady.
