If I had to choose one dress for life- this would be it!!
This dress is my staple. I don’t know why amazon would stop making a dress with such fantastic reviews. If anything, I thought they would have made more colors available! The cut and the fit are so flattering. It is easy to throw on in any season, to dress up with nice shoes or dress down with sneakers. If I had to choose one dress to live in, this would be it!!!I so SO hope that this dress comes back in stock, though I have been checking every few months for over a year and I’m sad to see it is still unavailable.

Comfy but being button up it tends to show everything
I love this dress! It is a buttonup so be prepared for it to show everything underneath... I ended up sewing it closed along the buttons. But I got it slightly too big and then use the tie and it gives you some shape while being incredibly comfortable and loose. I usually wear a M/L and got a L and it was a little big. Does get wrinkly but that's cause I generally have it packed in a bag and then shake it out once hoping it will be ready to wear haha. But it looks good and is comfy! (It does run a little lower in the front than I like but otherwise is great).

Fits perfect!
Amazon Essentials Women's Short-Sleeve Midi Button Front Tie Dress, Black/White, Abstract Floral, X-Large ($9.80)I am 5’4, 200lbs and ordered XL. It fits perfectly. I love the lightweight fabric and it is very breathable and flowy. I also love that I was able to get this at a discount at $10. Would have bought more if I knew I was going to love it this much! The price went back up. I also love the midi length. There are real buttons down the full length of the dress. There is some gapping as other commenters have mentioned. I just used small safety pins to secure the gaps at the bust area. No biggie.

Wanted to like this -buttons gape!
1) fabric felt like (but isn't) drapey linen, heavier weight so it doesn't feel cheap or flimsy2) not sheer3) has buttons which would make it easier to nurse a baby (why I purchased it)4) is just below the knee which means you can feel comfortable in it to not ride up sitting down or bending over, and won't blow around in wind5( can accommodate large busts without pushing the style. I have size 32/34J. It actually made my bust look a lot smaller in it than in most outfits. But you could wear with small bust too bc fabric is flowing....it is just really forgiving of both I think.Cons1) I wish there was a flap behind the buttons because when I sat down the dress wasn't even tight on me but my muffin top tummy (post several babies) and thighs spread and the slight pressure on the buttons gaped, basically you can see inside dress2) it looked kind of like a nightshirt on me. I don't know if it was the navy color? My husband said it was like the color was trying to be dressy but the style of dress was very casual.3) not sure why but my arms felt itchy after trying it on? Maybe something in the fabric that would need to be washed out of itSadly I had to return. It was probably one of the most comfortable dresses I have ever tried on (which is prob why it looked like a nightdress). Someone slimmer than me might look awesome in it!

Casual summer daytime dress
Reasons to love: real buttons but no gaping open (I’m a size L/XL, size 14, 38C, pear shaped), falls just at bottom of my knees at 5’9” which is great for my own comfort. V neckline isn’t too low and I like the little detail on each shoulder. What I’d change: sleeve length… a little shorter would look a little cuter to match the feminine styling. If you’re looking for modest, without matronly, this will probably work for you, though! The waist was cut higher than my natural waist at 5’9” which happens sometimes at just above average height. It didn’t cut across the bust line so I can work with it. The belt is the same fabric as the dress and a little short on length. I will use a wider belt with more structure that I already have to help the waist appear lower. I plan to get a lot of wear out of this dress and buy it in another color if I can catch it on another great offer. Purchased a size Large; color “Red Leaf”

Beautiful Dress, Wrinkles Like Crazy
All good things to say about this dress- the fit, the color/pattern, the length, the value. All are very good to excellent and for $10 I feel I got an amazing deal. The ONE drawback is it is 100% rayon, and tho conveniently is machine washable, you will have a horrendously wrinkled dress afterward. Because it's synthetic you have to iron on the lowest setting and it took me 2 hours to iron the whole thing & belt. Now, because it's a bit see through I wear a full body slip and can re-wear the dress 2 or 3 times before it needs washing so I am ok with the ironing. But if you're not a fan, don't buy this dress unless you take it to the cleaners for pressing.

Gaps at the bust while only breathing
I want to love this dress, but the buttons gap too easily at the bust. It was not tight, but every time I would move a tiny bit the buttons would gap a little. Like, just breathing caused it to gap. If I moved a lot or stretched my arms, it was a peep show for all to witness. Not the look I want in the office. Am I busty? Yes. Did I buy the appropriate size for that? Yes. Am I sad I have to return it? Yes.

Good quality
I purchased the white & black pattern in a medium. It is not see-through. I’m 5’3” 145lbs and fairly proportional. I wish I had downsized to a small. The top is roomy under the armpits, which would be great if I needed extra room in the chest. The good news is that I washed it in hot water and dried it in a hot dryer in an effort to shrink it (because exchanging it for a small was going to cost me $23), and it held up very well. It came out without wrinkles, and it didn’t shrink - normally a win! After washing it, I realized the fabric is not the knit I thought it was, it’s less stretchy.
