Very clean sound, but since you cannot control the 'bass, treble' individually. Bass takes over the rest of the song at certain volume levels.- Great fit for PC setups (as you can install a EQ software to control bass/treble)- Not supposed to be used as theatre-sound for your living room. While watching movies, its hard to hear the voices of character as bass takes over sometimes,

The sound hurts my brain. Way too much bass and the sound from satellite speakers are barely audible. I now need a software equalizer (like easyeffects or pulseeffects or audacious music player) to listen to music. It's also not recommended for watching youtube videos or playing games.For small home parties, this is a good choice though. It can shake the walls. But nobody buys sound system to shake walls instead people want a good quality sound system with balanced good quality sound, not just a tremendous bass boost.The worst thing is that there's no way to control the bass :( I need to stick with this awful sound system for years, can't even imagine.Sound system's built quality is good, but overall not satisfied with the awful sound quality.EDIT after 2 days of continuous use with my PC3 stars to 1 star. The reason is too much bass. I have no idea why Sony doesn't put a bass control on a system with such a big woofer. Even most modern systems with small woofers have a bass control.When you turn the speaker switch on, you need to turn it on from the remote / the power button of the woofer. It doesn't remember any settings. The default sound is too low, every time after you turn it on, you need to increase the sound to make it audible.If anyone wants to buy a very high bass wall shaking woofer, go for it. It doesn't have any sound quality, sounds absolutely horrible. So people looking for a good quality home theater, it's a shame that sony can't even beat my old F&D. It's simply bad.Whenever I go playing a song or listen to youtube videos, I need separate equalizer profiles for them! The sound quality is absolutely terrible. Gives me a temporary headache that lasts for hours. I don't know why they are charging so much for a cheap crap of delicate wood with a bad quality chip and speakers like this. I can't just bear with it. I feel very sorry, but I need to return it :(

Hi,I bought this speaker for one my friend who is a brand lover of Sony. Some points are below which will help you to understand about this speaker.Build- Main Subwoofer is big in size but sony not mentioned magnet size anywhere. The main subwoofer made by good quality wood material & painted in combination of matt black colour with front glossy black plastic material. 4 satellite speaker's whole body made of good plastic which is a mix of glossy & matt black colour. Overall build quality is good & looks premium.Sound - Speaker output is loud. It produce maximum 80 watts of sound output. Treble is well balanced & bass is really very powerful comes with thump. Talk about vocals then it is clear hoti 70-80% volume but at full volume you will feel little distortion but bass quality is good also on full volume. One thing to remember that speaker doesn't have a bass controller on speaker or remote. I used it with smartphone by bluetooth & with pc by aux cable sound output was so nice with pc. Overall speaker's sound output is loud & clear.Connectivity - It comes with wired connection with satellite speakers so you need to connect them all with main subwoofer unit. You can connect your mobile phone with bluetooth with this. It can also connect with your usb pendrive/memory card reader & also with aux cable 3.5mm. So you can easily connect it with Tvs, Laptops, Pcs & Smartphones.I bought this for 7200 rs apporx in amazon great indian festival. I used it for 3-4 days & from then my friend using it regularly till now(1month). He didn't complain about this speaker till now. He is so much happy with this.But i loves value for money products always so i feel it little bit overpriced but overall the build quality, sound output & connectivity features are very good. So i suggest you to buy if you need this love this.
