I love it. Simple and effective
I use this product in conjunction with the LanPlug 2000 to extend my existing WiFi to my fairly large detached garage, and possibly in the future to hang a TV out there and connect some kind of service via ethernet. I love it. My setup is a cable modem, netgear R7000 dual-band, one LP2000 and one Una. The garage has electricity provided by a sub-panel connected to my main home, and although I have not tried anything too rigorous yet, the signal seems strong enough to handle the modest demands I have for the garage space.Setup was painless for me, although I have an IT background. This line of products is pretty no-frills, and doesn't have the vibe like it's designed to be easy enough for your grandma to set up. But then again, I strongly doubt very many grandmothers are looking to run powerline ethernet in there homes in 2018.Extollo's support is amazing - I've emailed them four times and each time gotten a response in less than 24 hours, including a holiday weekend. Joe, who dealt with me exclusively, is knowledgeable and informative. If I ever get around to cutting the cord, I plan to take maximum advantage of my powerline ethernet as supplied by the LP2000 for 2 or more Apple TVs as well.

Was so excited to have Powerline + Mesh - after 8 months, some problems still not resolved
Updated review:I really wanted to give these devices a chance. They looked and acted pretty smooth. Extollo support (Joe) was responsive. I had some serious issues at first with the devices but they seemed to have so much potential and they were exactly what I wanted (Powerline + Mesh). After the latest updates (a few months ago), here's where I am today:1. Under heavy load / other reasons?? the nodes reboot. I've probably done factory defaults at least a dozen times in the 8 months I've had these 2 Unas. Since the latest Powerline & Wifi updates, the Unas have been pretty stable. Usually stay up for at least a week between reboots. But no other router I've ever had would reboot in the middle of working. That's unacceptable. Luckily it only takes a few minutes for them to come back up.2. Support has become completely unresponsive. I have kindly reached out to Joe asking when the next update will be made. I get radio silence. I have reached out to [email protected] asking the same - no response. I mentioned that the devices still reboot every once in a while. They should be responding immediately.3. You can't have separate SSIDs for the 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks. This should be a great ease in usability, but instead you are at the mercy of how well your devices roam and how the Mesh logic works. I have an Apple TV and it constantly goes onto the 2.4 GHz network (in the same room as the Una). As I have lots of neighbors, the 2.4GHz network is mostly unusable. When Apple TV is on the 2.4GHz network, my streaming goes to SD and audio begins to drop out. So there needs to be a way to either ban some devices from the 2.4 GHz network, or to allow for different names.4. The HomeMesh app is no longer available on the App Store (for more than a few weeks now). Is Extollo still supporting these devices?I could go on about the first few months when reboots were constant or the Unas tripped my circuit breaker every week, but I was very patient and given the communication from Joe, I was willing to wait and work with them. The circuit breaker issue was resolved mostly after a Powerline update, and fully after replacing the brand of the circuit breaker. But even after the latest updates, the reboots are still happening. At this point I'm annoyed enough to change my review. One more note: If you want to put this device in a shared garage, you're out of luck. You can't disable the ethernet - it would be nice if there were such an option.---Really easy to set up. The mesh network makes switching between nodes seamless. Amazing product and the only one if it’s kind (Powerline and mesh). Looking forward to an updated website from the manufacturer along with any future firmware updates. Would be nice if the 2.4ghz network could be disabled or if it supported separate SSIDs.

Very good Wifi Signal
Works great! Very good Wifi Signal - better throughput than with Comcast modem built in WiFi.Location: Connected in a two story house (1992); two different circuit breakers, two different breaker boxes! What I have found out is that you can jump through different breaker boxes as long as you stay on the same meter. I have a 200Meg x 20Meg base internet service. Signal on Wifi at end of powerline connection is 180Meg x 18Meg (turned out that way). Very little loss. NOTE: I have other brands of Powerline-LAN that were shelved as they were unable to provide a good connection through the house. I am happy with the results.Con: Took a while to setup because there were no instructions related to this device. Instructions were for a different device. Going online was useless as their website does NOT have any information about their new G.hn Powerline adapters. Being a tech, I scanned for wifi signals (SSID) and found a "new signal". Attached, but could not do anything. Luckily, a user posted the name of the app needed to setup the WiFi mesh "HomeMesh". HomeMesh only shows the WiFi devices, not the LAN only devices. HomeMesh then allows you to setup the SSID and password of your choice. Would have been stress free if the info was available in device package or online.Overall: I have already started to recommend this device to others.Wish list: The standard G.hn allows for POE through Powerline. Would like to stay with Extollo devices if they can offer the POE option, otherwise, would have to look at alternative company that currently offers a POE device.
