Great for photographic experimentation
I purchased this x-ray film to use for photography. Therefore, I cannot comment on its use in the medical field. What I can say is that this x-ray film is great for experimenting due to it’s reasonable cost compared to conventional sheet film. Also, it can be handled under dim safe light conditions (Deep red) for processing and trimming to size.I have successfully used this product in my 4x5 Speed Graphic, along with a pinhole camera. Rate the film at ISO 100 and process in Dektol paper developer. The results are impressive. So, if you are looking to experiment without breaking the bank, this product is for you.

Excellent to use as photo stock
Excellent results with my first 8x10 shots and an affordable alternative to traditional film. Loadable under safe light and tray developable under safe lights as well. Able to make 8x10 contact prints without the expense of an enlarger. I little experimentation and you will get consistent results.

Great low cost general and special look photography film
These 100 sheet boxes make shooting your 8X10 pinhole camera cheap. Also they can be handled under safelight, so cutting the into 4X5 is easy! Where else will you get 4X5 sheet for 12 cents a shot?

Fuji Super HRT
Using for large format photography. Works well as an orthochromatic film albeit needing to tame the contrast.

Honestly and truthfully can be used for photography in large format cameras, keep them making it!
This film is about 100 ISO. It is green sensitive, reds appear darker than normal. It is scratch prone, use gloves to load and unload your large format or pinhole camera. Develop in Pyrocat diluted 1:1:100 or another weak developer under a deep red safelight and pull from developer when it is developed to where you like it. Yes you can see that under a red safelight as the film appears white cast until fixed. Use a sheet of glass in trays or make a dip and dunk tank (or get some) and use film holders to keep scratches down. After fixing it is not as scratch prone (think of doctors slapping the film on a light box). They make them for x-ray film too but regulars tank film holders do work. Don't get the film hot, keep it cool. You can control the contrast by developing. Double sided emulsions have a slightly less sharp image but you can remove emulsion on one side if needed after development but is not necessary., This works very good in alternative photographic processes and we are all thankful that this is still made and not at the insane price of panchromatic photo films of the same size. You will have to experiment but as others have stated, this keeps large format affordable and produces new artists whereas without this resource, less art would come from budding artists and photographers.
