Sengled LED Bulb with Motion Sensor, PAR38 Smart Security Floodlight Bulb 3000, 1050 Lumens, Waterproof for Outdoor Use, 2 Pack

I bought 2 of these in February, so I've had 8 months to test them out. I put one in my basement storage room and put the other on my front porch (where I have an overhang above my front door). These lights are fantastic in my opinion.Whenever someone starts walking on my driveway towards my front steps (well before my front door), this light lights up EVERY time! I'm very impressed by the performance and its wide radius/range. The bulb in my basement storage room comes on everytime I open the door and take a step into the room. The radius obviously isn't as large as my front porch because the bulb is only about 5 ft. from the floor. That said, it still works EVERY time.I remember paying about $15 per bulb only a few years ago for standard LED floodlight bulbs for my home. The fact that these bulbs are $15 each (right now at least...I paid $20 back when I bought them) with the motion detection built in, that's a bargain as far as I'm concerned. These bulbs truly work great.Just as a side note....I bought 2 more of these bulbs to replace my old bulbs on my outdoor floodlight. My floodlight is one of those that has a sensor and would turn on at dusk and off at dawn. I was concerned these wouldn't work with the floodlight but to my relief, these bulbs worked great with my floodlight too. So you can have a floodlight that keeps the bulbs off during the day and instead of being on all night, the bulbs turn on when it senses motion...another added benefit. HIghly recommend this bulb!

I installed this bulb last night and it seems to work perfectly. After just screwing in the lightbulb and turning on the light, it comes on briefly, then goes into the sensing mode. Motion activates the light, which stays on until after the motion stops (90seconds according to the packaging, but I haven't timed it). It replaces our garage light, so that we don't have to switch the light on and off each time we enter the garage (walking or in the car). We are thinking about putting the same bulb in our master bedroom closet, to avoid accidentally leaving the light on there. After we bought it we thought it would be great as a security tool around the outside of the house, but we don't currently have the right external wall sockets (ie recessed) for this form factor. We might add those with these bulbs at some point.One thing to keep in mind is that the light switch needs to be in the "on" position for this bulb to sense motion. Therefore, any other bulbs that are connected to the same switch either need to be replaced with this same bulb, or they will be on all the time. In the case of our garage, we needed to install three of these bulbs in the three sockets covering our three car garage, ie to avoid one light being on constantly, which would defeat the purpose and be rather energy wasteful.So overall a great bulb for use in a motion activated scenario, such as a security situation (around the house at night) or to avoid having to turn on and off a light (such as in a closet or garage).Today, we also tried these lights in the stairway going down to the basement. Instead of reaching for the switches in the dark stairway, you just wave your hands. Very convenient.

Great floodlights! Work just as advertised. Ordered 3 of them for my backyard fixtures so that my dog can go out through his doggy door and we don't have to get up to turn lights on and off every time he decides to meander around the yard. The lights now come on as he goes out the door and turn off 90 seconds after he comes back into the house! Also, great for security as the 3 lights cover my entire backyard with bright light. Customer service is great as I asked Sengled how to register for warranty and they answered my question within minutes with the reassurance that if something went wrong with any of their products, they would be there to help resolve any issues. Yes, I knew before I ordered, that this model floodlight will come on during daylight hours when motion is detected but they are LED and do not consume very much electricity. Singled is coming out with a new model that does have dusk to dawn technology for those who want that feature. I'm impressed with the lights and Sengled as well!

I have a light fixture mounted on the top of my house that has two floodlights designed to light up my backyard. I wanted to give this motion sensing capability without replacing the fixture itself because it is very hard to access. I stumbled across these bulbs as an alternative and have been very happy with them. They are sensitive enough so that when my dog goes out the door one of them turns on and when she hits a certain part of the yard another one goes on. She is an 85lb dog though so I am not sure it would be as sensitive with small dogs. I haven't seen the lights turn on for any animals in the yard and I know there has been at least one skunk in the yard that didn't trigger the light. Overall though for my use they are perfect. The lights stay on for about 90 seconds and then if there is no motion they will turn off. With my old setup my outdoor lights were on from sunset until about 11:15 every night which always seemed wasteful. Now they only go on when we use the yard or let the dog out (Who let the dogs out??) which is perfect. Very happy with this product. They are also extremely bright and light up the yard better than my old 150 watt flood lights did while only using a fraction of the electricity required to run those. They are rated for indoor or outdoor use. So far no problems with cold temperatures, heavy rains, snow, etc.

Just received this floodlight and installed into the outside potlight just above the front door. The outside potlight is operated by an indoor electronic timer switch so this floodlight will only come on when dark and by entering the area. For security this is great because together with the EZVIZ Dome Outdoor Surveillance Camera that I ordered from Amazon.ca, it will enhance the video quality at night as well. One note is that I had to remove the internal ring of the potlight otherwise bulb would not fit the opening, this will vary depending of manufacturer. This LED Security Floodlight with Built-In Motion Detector, was exactly what I was looking for! Solid well build high quality product ;)

I love these bulbs, Ive purchased 4 so far to replace the LED flood lights around my house.After having people knock on my door at 4am and then run when I answer... I got these as a deterant.They provide excellent lighting and are very sensative, they have a range of about 30', much more so then I had envisioned.Love them!

An awesome light that combines the power-saving features of LED lights as well as motion sensing technology. I bought this to use outside my front entryway. The light I replaced was in a recessed pot and was either on or off. This became a hassle for me because I would often leave it on when guests were coming over and forget to turn it off until the morning.With this light, I just leave the switch on and the light only activates when someone is approaching my door. Once activated, the light stays lit for ~30 seconds and then turns off, ready to be activated again on demand. Installation was simple; installation comprised of simply screwing it in and turn the switch on.This particular light is warmer on the spectrum, and provides more than enough illumination for my front entryway and the 4 steps leading up to it. I highly recommend this light as it was much easier to install than an entirely new fixture with motion sensing technology.

I bought these, along with a simple 2-light dusk-to-dawn fixture, to replace an old security light in our backyard. Could not have made a better decision! These lights throw exactly enough light, even though they are 15' above the ground. The motion detection is equally awesome. Each light senses motion from 25' away (as advertised) and stays lit for 90 seconds (plenty of time to get where we are going). Considering any decent LED 2-light motion sensor security fixture these days goes for around $100CAD, this far-superior option is a real bargain.

This is a fairly high quality product, it feels solid and it definitely performed solid. I bought this about 4 months ago and it's been working great! The sensor is quite sensitive to movements which is nice, It 's so sensitive that it will turn on even in the day time, I don't mind it but it might not be for some people. Brightness is definitely not an issue, in fact it might be a little too bright. Overall, solid product and worth the money!

This works just fine for me. I use this in my closets and so far it has worked flawlessly. Open the door and Shazam: light. No more fumbling for the cord or switch, or installing tricky door sensors. No more forgetting the closet light on for hours (or days) on end. Sweet, simple and effective.

I'm using this as the primary light in my Carport. Works as advertised. No issues so far. Works with out any issues in -20 to -40 temperatures. I would recommend this product.. Nice bright light.

This is the way to go for security lighting. Use a standard socket and put the smarts in each easy-to-change bulb. I have bought all-in-one units for cheaper but then end up having to change an entire fixture when the unit fails. All ambient light detection that would prevent a bulb activating in daylight has issues so just having a low standby power is more relevant and reliable.What I would really like to have in a security light are the following features:No ambient light switching.No toggling between always on and motion detection -- this invariably screws up during a power failure or spike.A selectable on time.As bright as possible.As economic as possible.But vendors always want to add more features and charge for those features even if they don't ultimately work.

These light bulbs do not work for me, because they trigger light “on” during the daylight. I purchased them as a guard for my chickens to scare wild animals away at night. Chickens are running around the coop and triggering motion sensor “on” all the time, all day. I have to turn power off at the day. Solution: have to unfortunately return them. I even didn’t know someone can design motion sensor bulb for “outside” use, which can be triggered “on” in daylight. It doesn’t make sense! They are usable only in spaces where is always dark.

Just installed it today. I have a pot light on my front porch and it is a perfect fit. I would have given it 5/5 stars but it has one design flaw. The light will turn on even when its sunny outside. It has no day/night sensor. Its always night as far as this bulb is concerned. Not a huge deal as the bulb is LED and stays on for 40 seconds then turns off if there is no motion detected. Great bulb to have when installing a motion sensing light fixture is not an option.

Son de tran calidad, y se ve que aguantarán mucho en el exterior. Lo que no me gustó fue que no tienen sensor de noche, es decir se prenden sea día o noche... y yo solo las necesitaba para iluminar los corredores de noche. Tendré que comprarle un adaptador extra... seria bueno que lo incluyeran

Very bright, and motion works as expected, but they are under the eve of my house and they will stay turned on all day long, even with the sun right on them, once night comes then they will turn off and motion sense. I've even returned one pair and the new ones do the exact same thing.
