Let it sit for a while, and you'll see the cocopeat quickly absorb the water and expand. This cocopeat is entirely organic. The brick is visually appealing, and after soaking, allow it to dry slightly before using it for planting. For optimal results, layer the pot with broken brick pieces at the bottom, followed by large banyan or peepal leaves, then loose soil and compost, and finally a layer of cocopeat.
