Skeptical at first...
I was very skeptical at first about buying these, because of the sandpaper for the grip. I have been using the same 1.0mm Dunlop Tortex Fishhook pick (for my bass) for 20+ years. It seemed like it was getting close to time to retire that pick, and I've tried many of the easy to grip picks out there, ranging from .60mm-.73mm, and they just didn't cut it. I do a lot of fidgeting with picks, and sometimes if my picking fingers sweat, the pick will spin and slide around. So I figured, what the heck, I'll give these a shot. They are very nice, sturdy, and easy to grip (and keep the grip position I start off with. I got them yesterday, and they work great for my 4 & 5 string basses, my 6 string electric, and (surprisingly enough), my 12-string acoustic. I recommend them. What have you got to lose...other than another pick lost in the acoustic soundhole abyss. Ha!

Who knows but you
Really? Seriously? You’re reading a review about guitar picks? Dude/Dudette, ALL gear is subject to personal preference. Try or don’t try. Your playing may never miss them. Or maybe.....

Ibanez Sand Grip Picks
I may never want to use another kind of pick again. If they were just a tiny bit bigger they'd be perfect (I have big hands, so this may not be true for you). They're absolutely brilliant, they don't slip around in your hand, so you're absolutely in control of what they're doing on the strings.

Good quality picks
Picks are definitely a personal preference thing. I have many different picks for whatever mood I'm in. I like these because they are a little smaller and pointier than regular size. The material brings out a nice full bassy sound.

Good but not as grippy as I had hoped
These are great picks. However I expected the grip tape to be a bit more coarse. Its a very fine grit that does offer a little more grip, but I still find the pick wanting to slide out of position between my fingers if I dont pay enough attention to holding it tight enough or Ive been playing for a while in a hot area and my hands start to get sweaty. But it is an improvement over normal picks without the grip tape if you are someone that finds that your picks like to slide around between your fingers or drop easily. I just wish it was a little more coarse of a grit.

Solid pick.
Pick comfort is subjective but these are very comfortable for me. The pointed tip allows for precise picking and the textured grip is great for when your hands get sweaty. The grip tends to wear away rather quickly but you can still get tens of hours of practice in before they become unusable.

I love them. Only picks I use for metal.
Is a subjective product so I wouldnt bank too much on reviews but these picks dont wear down as fast and easy to hold on to. 2 things ya need to play fast death metal.

Comfortable Warm Souding Picks
My fingers sweat a lot while playing and these picks gave me a lot of grip! They are awesome for accurate fast picking, but could be too warm for strat bridge position songs. They tend to warm out the sparkling part so I'll probably only use them for heavy stuff. But I guess there is no pick that does-it-all :)

Glued to my fingers
Love it - my go to pick for single string picking.Love to have extra grip as my fingers tend to loose them mid play very often.Just a little too stiff to strum for me but great for more precise work
