From a diffuse lighting aficionado (due to sensory sensitivities :)) these are absolutely gorgeous! I’ve got red at the very top, that warm golden glow the rest of the stick, then a purple glow shining out of the base, and more of the gold on the base facing the wall- this things is beyond customizable.I did not have to reset it to add it to matter, just power off, unplug, 10 sec wait, plug back in, power on, and it immediately added (I forgot otherwise you’re supposed to do it within 15mins of the initial set up).As someone not incredibly technical, but who has provided tech support, and normally feel like apps don’t provide enough customization- I get lost and even with googling I can’t figure out how to do some things that I assume would be simple (ie turn two identical lights to the same customized setting - i’ve made a switch, grouped them, made a snapshot…hmmmm lol).Regardless, other than the matter hiccup initially, which was just me forgetting that it was supposed to be set up immediately and trying to do it later, which can cause it to be out of that pairing phase, and getting accustomed to this deep level of customization, everything set up quickly and easily like my other Govee light (now I have 3 :)).No flickering, seem durable, which is why I buy from Govee exclusively now, and literally the cheap stick lights my partner got instead of these 2 months ago, broke as i moved them out of the way to place the Govees there & move the others across the room! Yeah, so that’s the kind of stuff. I’m sick of. I think I’ve gone through 4 lights in 6 months on the cheaper ones- and i’m so over it..Love these!

I bought this lamp for a purely utilitarian reason - Vive Ultimate Trackers needed bright, even lighting around my room, and my nighttable lamp, wall spotlight, and ceiling fan didn't cut it. I'm usually wary of paying 3 figures for LED lamps as dubious quality LEDs can be used, we all know the corners cut in these devices. But this one worked beautifully.Installation was fairly quick and easy - screw in some metal plates between three metal tube structures, then slide the soft LED strip right in. Setup was fairly easy - I purchased Govee products before, so it automatically recognized the lamp without much hassle (I had to find the 2.4 Ghz password). The lamp has very even lighting up the strip, which goes to my chin. Casting against a wall corner brings soft, even light to the room.I was impressed by was the versatility. I expected a silly RGB panning thing, and there are features for that, but what I got was the ability to change brightness and color temperature! I made two nightlight presets, both 2700k, one at 5% for when I need to use the restroom, another at 1% when I'm just in bed and need a little light to see something close by. I've been frustrated with my lighting options for nightlights as I have particular sensitivies, but being able to dim the lamp that much and get nice lighting, and save those presets as a button in the app was an unexpected surprise!It's really hard to think of anything I don't like, here. Some of the motion can be a bit jittery. If you have an uneven floor, I don't think the lamp has any adjustments for the bottom feet. And it would be nice for 5ghz Wifi to be an option. Or, at this price, maybe even something remote. Otherwise the light is beautiful, the app works well, and I have no major complaints! It exceeded my expectations, which is very difficult to do. I will definitely be looking at more Govee products in the future.

These lamps are great. I just use them on the warm light by our couch in the family room. We do not like any bright lights in there, so these were the perfect alternate. They worked so great I came back and purchased a second one so there is one on both sides. It makes the room feel warm and inviting. They were very easy to put together and the remote is very ease to figure out. We are not into the different colors, but we have seen them work so if you are into that, they do work well, which makes them versatile. Great buy!

I love this light! I have two, one on each side of my TV. They’re bright, stylish, colorful, the animations are fun, and provide a great bias light to keep the TV from being blinding at night. No noticeable flicker at all, either. I have them integrated with Home Assistant as well, which works nicely. I only wish the cool white mode was a little bit cooler to better match the cool white mode of my main room lights, but that is a truly minor nitpick for me as I only rarely use that mode.

Wanted this for ambient lighting in TV room and for automatic on/off features.Assembly is mostly straightforward, parts lined up precisely, tiny magnetized screws and a tiny screwdriver are provided, bring your own manual dexterity and keen eyesight.Could use better guidance on mounting the lighting tube into its assembled holder, its possible to first try to insert it backwards before realizing the direction it should face.Bluetooth is needed to connect to wifi, but the app can load without bluetooth enabled. Took a stupid amount of time to debug and find another review that detailed going into Settings > Apps > Govee to enable bluetooth.The app itself is cluttered and not intuitive but was eventually able to configure on/off settings aligned with sunset/sunrise times.Like it a lot. The colors and dimming ranges are impressive. Would have been 5 stars except for difficulties syncing and configuring the app.
