Everything was in the kit was used. If I had and issue it was a print quality issue. Everyone who has this printer needs this kit. Not only does it upgrade the level of the printer it's probably the best thing a new maker should do. Gives a sense of engineering and accomplishment.Highly recommend doing this.

I had the joy of receiving a Flashforge Adventurer 5M for Christmas, and recently decided to add an enclosure. This hardware kit is the perfect match to the 3D stl files provided by Flashforge. The combination of this hardware with my pla printed parts made for a surprisingly easy installation. The magnets and machine screws provide a solid connection to the AD5M chassis, and the large plex windows do not obstruct the view. There is still room within the enclosure to add led straps, a camera, and the associated wiring (future projects). Make sure you have at least 2.5 kilos of filament on hand to complete this project. It is a fun build.

No printed instructions. You spend $40 in filament to print it. Quality is sub par. the printable files have issues. The online instructions do not match the latest version of the pieces printed. not solid and leaves room for future issues. Avoid this enclosure.

Make sure you know if you have the newer model. The sensor is in a different orientation than the old one. I didn’t realize this and printed everything for it. I was able to modify the spool holder for the sensor. It is time consuming printing everything for it and you will go through a lot of filament to make it. It is so much quieter with the enclosure on it. Would recommend slicing everything for PETG filament. When you try to snap the top pieces together they might break on you like they did me if you use PLA. Took me about 2 hours to assemble ones I had everything printed. Was very disappointed that it didn’t come with a small thing of glue for the magnets. Would definitely recommend this for your adventurer 5m printing but only giving it 4 stars because of how hard it was to find the plans on flashforges website and not being clear on needing a different file for the spool holder. The kit shouldn’t be as expensive as it is for what you get. I am happy with it but feels kinda cheap the top lid just sits on top wish it had some kind of hinges for the top cover

Very easy to install as all the tools and hardware is included. The fact that yopu need to print the parts except for the tubes and drag chain, the print quality of the parts and the color sel;ection that you have on your end is what will make your printer unique. You do need to provide your own glue to glue the magnets together but adhesion is great. It is worth buying if you find yourself having issues with thermal shock in your prints. For the functionality it provides much better quality prints for your printer as it keeps all the heat inside.

I'm halfway through adding this onto my printer - the instructions are clear and I'm printing the Minimal DIY Enclosure files from Design8Studio via Printables.com to save on filament.A BIG FIY re the front and side panels being scratched/cloudy - be aware that BOTH SIDES of EVERY panel has almost invisible cling-film attached to it. I had scratched at the corners and couldn't find anything yesterday, and assembled the kit as-is - and this morning noticed a bit of plastic peeling from one of the panels: it was the protective film that needed to be peeled off.
