USB C Hub, TrioGor 8 in 1 Type C Hub USB-C Power Delivery, Type C to 4K HDMI Adapter, 3 USB 3.0 Ports, SD TF Card Reader, 1000M Ethernet for MacBook Pro and More (Space Gray)

I bought this for one reason and that was for its Gigabit network port. My touch tablet PC only has a USB-C port and it is shockingly slow because it uses 802.11b WiFi connectivity.The hub arrived with a carrying pouch, an instruction leaflet and of course the Triogor hub. My initial impression when inspecting it was that the construction of the hub was really good, it was made from aluminium and it felt sturdy and well built.The cable was very short at 14cm which is ok for a laptop, but I would have liked it a little longer for a tablet / desktop. The HUB was quite small measuring 10cm x 6.2cm with a depth of 1.6cm.When I first plugged it in, it didn’t work properly until I saw I had made an error and it had to be pushed in firmly until it clicked. Once plugged in properly the red LED lit up and no additional drivers were needed to be installed (i.e. Windows 10 automatically found it).The real test began when I did hooked up my gigabit Ethernet cable into the RJ45 port and tested the speeds. The baseline test using the tablet’s onboard Wi-Fi (I was very close and only 6ft away from the router) speed was 12 megabits/s. Then I repeated the test with the Triogor hub plugged in and used its’ gigabit Ethernet port. I was extremely happy to see the internet speeds shoot up to 222 megabit/s down and 12 megabit/s up (all the while being very stable). The other ports such as USB 3.0, microSD and SD port all worked great, giving good speeds too. It had a USB-C port on it which functioned as a PD port, what that meant was it could charge a tablet / laptop whilst plugged in as a pass through.Overall this was a great USB hub, it looked great and best of all it performed extremely well with stable transfer rates (btw: it doesn’t need an external power supply). I was blown away with the high transfer speeds seen from its gigabit port. One minor niggle was that it did get slightly warm when in use, nevertheless this is a fantastic USB-C Hub and an easy 5/5 stars!

I bought this to use with my XPS 15 9560. The laptop has no ethernet port and a lack of USB ports and also supports charging via 61W USB C PD, so this was a great solution as this hub ticks all those boxes.Unfortunately I've downgraded my review to 1* because on both the original and the replacement the seller sent me, the hub overheats when charging my laptop with USB C PD, causing the device to switch off for 30 seconds (HDMI cuts out, all USB devices disconnect, ethernet disconnects etc) and then return. This happens to both the original and replacement unit so I can only understand it to be a product FLAW, not just a faulty unit.--- Old review ---The hub has an excellent build quality, it's made from machined metal and feels strong. It comes with a protective bag so it doesn't get scratched when in your bag.The hub supports USB C PD, so if you have a USB C PD charger and a laptop supporting USB C PD charging, then this dock can both charge your device and allow you to use various ports at once. That means you can leave this hub on your desk with everything hooked up, plug in one cable and your laptop becomes a desktop!Everything seems to work nicely on the dock, but when using it I noticed there's an annoying buzzing sound coming from the dock. This doesn't happen when my USB C PD charger is disconnected. I contacted the manufacturer to get a new dock but it also happens on that one. I've tried two different USB C PD chargers and the problem happens on both, so clearly it's not a fault of my charger but instead the dock.Not only this, the dock gets hot to the touch. My laser thermometer says 48C.Overall, the dock works, but not to the level I'd have hoped for. It makes an annoying buzzing sound and gets hot to the touch. I'd really prefer this not happen, as I question how it will affect the lifespan of the dock.

The Good:Pass through power works with 15” MacBook Pro. Fairly solid with good connection.The Bad:Very slow SD card read speedsSD card slot is tight, a bit too tight.Hasn’t completely solved the USB C wifi interference issues.

I got new Macbook pro 13 inch and had an USB-C hub already but it doesn't fit as I've a case on my Macbook Pro, So I'm looking for another hub which has a short cable that goes to USB-C and have all sorts of port. Found this is the one I'm looking for as it has all sorts of ports especially DSLR card reader.I'm as impressed with this hub as there is a light (GREEN or RED) indication when the hub is in use. Also comes with pouch to keep in safe and prevent it scratch my Mackbook. As it comes in two colours bought grey that match my Macbook.I did connected to my Tv which is 4k via HDMI output. The display is very goodIt worked fine so far for the things I'm working on. and the quality and design is so good I’m so pleased with this product and I would expect it can be sold for even more price and still worth itI would surely Recommend this product for all Mackbook Pro user’s out there

Really pleased with this USB Hub. I got it to use with my Macbook, and it’s added pretty much every port I lost in the update. One thing I really like about it is that it’s on a wire, rather than an extension that practically clips onto the side. This just makes it a little easier to get everything plugged in and also doesn’t feel like it’s going to snap in the side of my mac.The Hub is pretty compact and feels well made. It gets slightly warm when using it, but no warmer than my macbook. Really happy with it!

I'm always a bit sceptical that these hub things will work - but this is great, and all the connections work on my Windows laptop.It's added much needed extra ports, and also tidies up the network cable etc. Love it, just plug it in and presto!

This product initially worked, but after a few weeks began to overheat and now no longer works.

After trying out other usb hubs, I can definitely say this one is the best! This has 8 ports, with a wire to connect to your laptop which I found more useful than the clip on ones as you don’t need to worry about it breaking inside your laptop. Overall great product, would recommend 👍🏼
