Very sturdy and easy to put together
These are great shelves and extremely easy to put together. The surprise was how heavy the boxes were. The directions were clear. What I really like with these is that they come with a support piece that slides in the middle of the shelves. We have a set of older shelving units like this and they don't have that. The only piece of advice I would have is to use a heavy mallet instead of the little hammer that comes with the shelves. I destroyed two of those hammers on two shelves (with lots of pounding), but the mallet works so much better. It is a shame that the hammer that comes with the shelf is really a one-use only hammer. But that has nothing to do with the shelves. I am really happy with these.

Looks nice and strong!
Excellent! Product came quickly and was easy to put together. Loved that it came with a nice little hammer too!! I am putting water resistant shelf liner on the shelving as it’s only particle board but I knew this when I purchased it.

So close to 5 stars!
Ordered this shelving unit, and honestly for the price, I was pleasantly surprised. It's SO close to being a 5 star product except for a few items which I'll get to in a moment. The good :-- The frame itself seems strong enough and is pleasant to the eye. The "Z" bracing for the shelves definitely look like they'll be solid and are shaped in a way to hold the wood shelving inside them pretty decently.-- Obviously the price is great!-- It's as advertised. Adjustable, buildable, and frankly once you get the first shelf in place, becomes easier to build at each level up from there.-- It feels pretty heavy/sturdy (especiailly considering price) when completely built.-- The wood does appear to be MDF and not plain ole particle boardThe "Meh":-- The included gloves and mallet are a kind/nice touch, but reality is, you're better off using your own 16oz rubber mallet. The gloves themselves are for people with little hands. :)-- The first shelf "row" when you're building it can be tricky as the metal DOES bend/twist under it's own weight. As mentioned earlier though, that settles down once all 4 sides of the first row are done and improves the higher up you build the shelving unit(s).-- The shelving pieces are .25". Putting this under "meh" because frankly, not sure what that'll mean overall for weight bearing, but for me handles 3d printer equipment, and a few bins of odds and ends for storage (including things like small engine parts (including motorcycle parts)), fluids, pesticides, etc.The "This is what causes it from not being a full 5 stars" :-- The "weight reinforcement". The metal bars themselves feel solid enough but are pretty small and only a "tongue and groove" style attachment. I can't imagine they offer a LOT of support, but are better than nothing. On the 48" wide, I'd think perhaps 2 sets would be better with a better "attachment" mechanism.-- The packaging. Dear god, it's a miracle this came to me intact. I understand at this price I can't expect super high end packaging, however, for god's sake drop the hammer and gloves and spend that extra 15c figuring out how to add better packaging. Specifically :-- The metal pieces come WEDGED between the wood shelving with no plastic or covering around the wood shelving itself. This causes there to be black marks and potentially scratches everywhere. Not to mention a bad hit at quite a few angles could definitely cause chips/cracks, etc.-- The foam that IS in there isn't fitted to the equipment at all so kind of just floats around in the void areas along with the metal components that are sitting right up against the wood boards, which basically exacerbates the issues I mentioned on the line above.-- Not sure if this was an issue at fedex or warehouse, but man, the box was completely shredded. What little foam there was had some leaking out one of the corners, neither end looked like a "box" anymore but bowed out holding on for dear life which only was working because of the tape holding it all together.Overall, I'd recommend the shelving itself for normal residential garage use, but just be warned that due to packaging and shipping "care" you may have to deal with some unexpected issues.

Sturdy shelving - toy included
I built this shelf today and I'm impressed with how sturdy it is. Assembly was not too difficult as long as you make sure that the shelves are in the correct holes. The powder coating is nice and I think it will inhibit rust in my garage. The instructions are straight forward. The included hammer is either to check your reflexes or as a gift to a child. I used my own rubber mallet and I doubt that the included hammer would do the job. I would recommend this unit.

i would not recommend anyone buy from a company that cannot count up-to the total of their fingers.
i got this item specifically for its form factor. needed a shelf that is strong enough to hold my computer that would fit in the 14inch gap behind my standing desk. this shelf does fit my use case. there was an extremely limited selected for my dimensions and i was left with no other choice than this shelf.the metal is very thin and so are the dense cardboard-like shelfs. half of it has been standing strong for almost a week now.i say half because that was all i could build. it seems the manufacturers cannot count to 10 as they didnt include one of 10 required short beams to assemble this shelf.i quickly let them know that they owed me a short beam.days pass as i check my inbox to no updates.got an email today saying my ticket was marked as resolved because there was no action taken on the ticket after i wasn't emailed about the updated ticket. in that updated ticket they request i give them proof of missing part(video/photo), as if i, OR ANYONE, would want to reach out to scam them out of one short beam.in my initial ticket i specified that the "Part C (short beam)" was missing (as that is how the part is referred to in the manual). my ticket also include the shelf i bought in the details so there should be no confusion as to what shelf that beam belonged to.they are actively making any support harder on the customer than it needs to be after screwing over their customer.couldn't even upload a video bc they dont actually have the technical capabilities to upload a video of any size.would have loved if i didnt have to reach out at all and could have assemble my shelf as intended.i would not recommend anyone buy from a company that cannot count up to the total of their fingers.
