best on the market
loved this screen protector It wasn't too coarse, and I actually let my Apple Pencil glide over the screen a little more. Compared to other paper-like screen protectors, it fits the screen perfectly, although after some time the adhesion does come undone in the corners and forms air bubbles. The clarity is great, and the screen protection/scratch protection is phenomenal. The functionality is 9/10, and the feel is 10/10.

A Game Changer for Anyone Who Uses Their Apple Pencil
The Paperlike screen protector completely transformed how I use my iPad. I use it for work, note-taking, scheduling, and creative planning, and this screen protector makes writing feel natural. It really does feel like paper — the texture adds just enough resistance to improve precision without being rough or draining battery life.Installation was straightforward, and there’s no weird glare or color distortion. If you use an Apple Pencil regularly, this is a must-have. It’s made my iPad feel more like a notebook and less like a slippery piece of glass. Absolutely worth it.

Love it, but hard to install
I was very excited to get this Paperlike screen protector due to all the great reviews I’ve seen on YouTube. Just got an iPad and am really working to do digital planning and other productive activities on it. I will say, I struggled installing the screen without dust getting trapped and bubbles and all that. I ended up having to toss the first screen and attempt it again with the second screen in the packet. Kind of a bummer, I was hoping to have a backup. There doesn’t seem to be a way to install it without any bubbles happening, so now I have some slight scratches on the protector itself from pushing the bubbles out of the sides. It also doesn’t give me a good seal right around the edges of the screen. It’s pretty easy to pop up and off. I have a case on, so that keeps it from accidentally happening, but nonetheless.I do though absolutely love the feel/texture of the screen! It has definitely helped and made writing on my screen feel much more authentic and gives me a better handle on my penmanship. It also works very well with different Apple Pencil tips that I have tested out on it. For this reason, I do really enjoy this screen protector and would recommend it. Just be careful when installing the screen (even following the video instruction) to really pay attention so you don’t have to use your backup one. Thanks!

One of the Worst Application Systems
EDIT: While I stand by my initial review, I must give the company credit. Within a day of my review being posted, they reached out and tried to make things right by sending me a replacement set of protectors with additional tips for application. I said no, as I still believe the application process is substandard given the cost, but they then initiated a full refund without my requesting one. This is a company I can respect, even if I am not a fan of their product. This may or may not live up to the hype regarding the impact on writing and drawing, but I never made it that far. The application process is only marginally better than that of the earliest screen protectors for the original iPad. The tape used to hold the protector in place during application is a pain to get to hold correctly, with the protector constantly shifting. But the nightmare is applying the protector itself. No matter how slowly I went, no matter how carefully I pressed, I ended up with multiple air pockets that I could not remove without lifting the entire protector, which was made easier by the fact that the top film did not peel away from the protector but actually peeled the protector off the screen. I tried multiple times with both screen protectors and could not get a satisfactory application. At $45 a pop, these are in desperate need of an improved application process.

Not as easy to install as they have you believe. Both of mine are ruined
The paper like screen protector is tried and true. I had it for my last iPad and now, years later I bought it for my newest one after browsing other less expensive alternatives. I just KNOW the quality of this one and decided it was worth the cost. This time around there were easy instructions for setup including guide stickers and everything. I was so confident in setting it up but then when it came time to peel off the film on top, I could NOT get it off. Turns out when I peeled off the blue sticker to stick the screen protector down, the protector came off with the white paper. So all I had done was place the top film on my iPad and smooth the bubbles out. At this point my husband stepped in and tried to help. We peeled off the screen protector from the white paper and tried to place it on top but it kept going crooked and dust kept getting under it. Fine, we have one more, let’s just use that one. I was getting frustrated. My husband then proceeded to watch the video and start the set up all over again and once again the white paper would NOT come off of the paperlike protector when it was time to peel the blue sticker off. Nothing we did would remove it from that corner so finally we just peeled from another side. Dust ended up under it still and at the end of it all we realized that he had placed it upside down (Face ID camera cut out was on the wrong side 🤦🏻♀️)SO long story short, I’m out $45, my screen protector is on backwards and I no longer have a spare because of how the installation went with the first one.

Decent product…. Need patience and try to follow instructions the best you can
Overall the material feels nice, the installation process is difficult even with following the video instructions. I am going to see how the product holds up. I do have a bunch of bubbles on my screen. I wish the installation process was easier.

Necessity
Paperlike really is a necessity for people who write on their iPad using an Apple Pencil. It has just the right amount of friction to make you not slip too much while writing. It does get scratches, however, and they don't stand out when you have the iPad on - they are only visible when the iPad is off. I would also recommend getting it pasted by a pro maybe, I wasted one of mine trying to do it myself, but air bubbles everywhere.
