Q: What is that white patch for?

The white patch is used as a filter to exchange air as gas builds up from the mycelium growing on grains

Q: Can I seal those with a lighter?

Probably not , they actually self seal as lkng as you dont over fill the bag and just wrap it aroun nice and flat and make sure the opening is facing up and no water gets in

I don’t think so. When your mycelium is ready to fruit you’ll want to put holes in the bag for air exchange

Q: Do i need to prevent these bags from touching each other or the walls of the canner?

Yes! They will stick to the edge of the pressure cooker and tear open when removed.
