Goodbye to three streemlight stingers!
I have used streamlight stingers for about 15 years now. All the switches have been replaced multiple times because I use them for work where I use the momentary function around 300 to 600 times or more a night Maybe more Hard to believe but it's true. Anyways I've always liked the side switch because it is easiest on my hand and finger. That being said I was hesitant to buy a smaller tailswitch flashlight but I did anyways. This model did seem to fit a little small in my average hand and got a little uncomfortable towards the end of my night using my thumb but not a huge deal. The momentary switch function is not too hard or too easy to push just about perfect could be a little easier. I'm going to order the SK1 model which is 5mm wider and 7mm longer than this model so hopefully that will be a little more comfortable. I love the fact that it has a usb c charging port and it it very bright I use it on the 2nd brightness all night. The last two are so bright it's almost too much for me. I'm going to put all three of my streamlight stinger led flashlight on ebay and rid of them. No more proprietary charger and no more bulky streamlight that you have to cycle through the functions to use the brightness you want. These lights are the way to go.

Great Light
I've been using the SP31 for three months now and I wanted to provide my thoughts. This is my first tactical flashlight from Sofirn but I have other lights from Sofirn, a couple of SC31, SC29 and a SP40. In general I find all my lights from Sofirn to have great quality in the materials and the build. The SP31 continues with that trend.Material and Build- The machining of the parts are very clean. No rough edges and the threads are all smooth and clean. The anodization looks to be very durable and has a consistant finish. After 3 months of use and being tossed around, there appears to be no wear. How's it Feel- The design of the battery tube knurling provides a secure fit in my hand while being comfortable. It comes with a clip which worked well for pocket carry. This may be nit picky but I would have liked to have the clip just a few millimeters closer to the end of tailcap. It's not that it extremely low and compared to my other EDCs the clip is in the same spot but since this is a tactical light it has about 10mm extra on the tailcap for the button. Not a big deal, just sticks out my pocket more when using the clip.Battery Runtime and Charging- I purchased the light with the 18650 battery included. I usually run on medium or high depending on what I'm using it for. With that type of usage, I get about 4 - 6 hours of run time. I rarely use turbo as it gets hot pretty quick and drops down the output after about a minute. In the 3 months I've been using it, I've only charged it 4 times. I haven't timed it but it does seem to take a while to charge. It's definitely more than a couple of hours, maybe 3 hours to charge. I've been meaning to do a comparison to my other 18650 Sofirns to see how they line up. Like their other lights, there is a USB-C charging port on the flashlight itself.Output and Beam Pattern- The color temp is listed as 6000K but it seems lower to me, more around 5000 - 5500K. I have nothing to measure so this is just a visual comparison to my other lights and the fact that I usually find something inbetween warm and daylight to be comfortable for most my situations. The upper edge of daylight into cold for long periods of time wears on my eyes.- Definitely not a flood pattern. It has a good size hot spot but not a lot of spill outside of that due to the TIR optic. It seems to have good throw for this size light with a SST40 emitter paired with the TIR optic. The UI- The combination of the side and tail buttons work pretty well, with the side button basically selecting the mode and the tail button being the main on/off, with mode memory so you don't have to cycle through modes on the side button every time.Overal Impression- I really like the functionality and quality of the light. For the cost ($35 when I purchased it), I think it's a great value. Would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a tactical light or just a good buy in general.

Sofirn SP31V3 - Has every feature you'd want in a daily carry light
I discovered Sofirn about two years ago as a relatively new player in the high output flashlight market segment. Since then I've become a fan after testing their products in real world work settings and daily carry and found them to be absolutely reliable whenever I need light. The value for money and smart design decisions show in their products, as well as beautiful machining work in the threads and build quality. My latest to the collection is the SP31V3. As much as I like their other lights with their Anduril step-less dimming, warm light diodes, etc, the SP31 is quickly becoming my new favorite daily carry. I like the most the design with the tail cap on/off switch that has a pressure momentary on you can half press and it silently turns on as you hold it - perfect for a quiet tactical light scan. Keeping the light output change on an entirely different button further up is a novel, brilliant decision that many other flashlight makers haven't done. And that is why I continue to buy Sofirn lights haha. They run a tight ship and have smarter people in the design room.

L.I.E.S. : Light It Easy, Stupid
If I am completely honest, as an owner of a Sofirn sc31t Pro, this light (sp31 v3) is quite a bit of a downgrade in many ways. It is designed with simplicity in mind, and in that, it excels. It has a tail cap button that the 31t pro does not. I love the momentary on feature of the tail cap button.I miss the ability to have the main button dimly lit at all times on the 31t pro, making it easy to find in low light/visibility, of course at the expense of some battery life. The build, fit , and finish of this light seem better than the 31t pro (but it also hasn't been used for years at this point). The knurling on the body is well done, and there are no discernable hot spots or seams. The pocket clip is well done and springy. Using the clip will leave the whole of the tail cap sticking out from your pocket, which some may feel isn't deep enough carry. The sp31 v3 is ridiculously bright, though I'm going to need higher-than-freezing temperatures to take the light out and really run it though the paces. One note is that the USB port is quite recessed, so you might be forced into using the included cord. Other cords that I already had in use for other devices would not fit deep enough. I feel this is a great value light for the money, and will be a nice piece in my collection.

Great compact flashlight that is powerful
This a great flashlight, that is compact but still is bright. It is the perfect size to carry in a purse or to keep in your car's glove box. It is durable and versatile. There are multiple modes to choose from depending on your needs. It is rechargeable and lasts a long time on a charge. Great compact flashlight for the price.
