These things are awesome.Great battery life. Sturdy. Good price. Solid, bass-y sound that really can be surprisingly loud, more than I would have expected. Easy to link up, easy to use, it clips onto a shower curtain ring, a tree branch, a cabinet handle, anywhere.The only thing it isn't as great at is the sound quality of speech-only. It seems to struggle a little bit with higher pitches, while being strong on low and medium tones. This means sometimes for something like an audio book or podcast, you have to turn it up louder than you'd expect to get good voice clarity. I downloaded the app for adjusting the sound balance, and while it helps to switch it to "speech mode" it doesn't make a huge impact.I have only one other nitpick and I cannot say for sure if it is the fault of this speaker, or my phone. But when I have this linked to my phone, for some reason it will NOT play phone calls. So if you were hoping to answer a call and hear someone talking through the speaker, it won't. Or at least, not with my phone. Every other bluetooth speaker I have ever had does this.Don't let that deter you though. This is a great speaker and I bought a second one so that I could leave one at home and one in the car for all the times I found myself somewhere that I wanted a speaker.

Great speaker, definitely worth the price since i got it for 50$ at the time, but whatever price it'll be i say its worth it, i mean i got it the day i wrote this but i kinda already might get another soon, buttons are fine not much to say there, this speaker has its own jbl app, connection is fine, only thing that was difficult was picking a color since ive never been a fan of purple but i love this shade this speaker has, itll be great overall with care and im sure anyone would enjoy this speaker but to each their own.(Dont mind my deskmat)

Buying speakers and headphones/earbuds online, without hearing them in-person first, can be a gamble. Not when it’s a JBL, tho. If they put their name on it, it’s worth every penny.This speaker sounds way bigger than it is, especially in the shower. I can hear everything crystal clear, even with the water that inevitably gets on it. Excellent build quality, because that’s how water proof products should be made. Every function and feature just makes sense, and takes no time to understand how to use them properly. The buttons are nice and big, and emboldened, just like the classic JBL logo.Can’t recommend enough.

This is my go to speaker for golf, biking, insert whatever outdoor event you can think of. You can attach it to anything, the sound is wonderful and the charge lasts a long time. I had the version prior to this one and this one doesn't disappoint. My other one finally gave out after 4 long years of using it on a weekly basis. Was a hit in Cabo San Lucas at the pool bar as their music wasn't up to party standards, but this got the people going at the swim up bar.

But what really sold me was how tough and waterproof this thing is.I flipped my kayak multiple times, completely submerging the Clip 5 while it was actively playing music. Not only did it survive, it didn’t even flinch—music kept playing loud and clear afterward for hours on end. No weird crackling, no muffled audio, just solid performance.The built-in clip makes it super easy to attach to a backpack or dry bag. It’s super convenient, and I didn’t have to worry about it getting lost or floating away.If you need a small, rugged, and reliable speaker for adventuring (or just about any use), this is a no-brainer. Total win. Would buy again in a heartbeat.

You literally cannot beat the sound quality and clarity of a Bluetooth speaker in this size range with this level of portability. Each year JBL tops itself in terms of performance and straight up loudness, this year is no different with the JBL Clip 5 beating it’s predecessor in every dimension. The clip is much stronger on this model and the battery life is also greatly improved. The ability to sync up with other speakers with the same model means that rolling with friends means sharing the tunes and amping up the volume of the party. The only negative that I can really call out is that its sync technology is incompatible with other models of the same generation. They’ve thankfully fixed that in the next models but this is still a solid speaker with excellent sound and value for its size!
