Works really well with iPhone, and comments about using two phones.
We use this with iPhone, in a 2019 Ford with Apple Carplay. Once it's set up it works well.Initial setup wasn't difficult (it's hidden in the center console, which has a USB jack); it took a little bit of fiddling and reading the instructions carefully the first time to get both my iPhone and my wife's paired.People have asked how it works when you have two phones, not only with this product but with the competing ones I looked at. It's not perfect, but mostly ok. The answer is that pairing and connecting are two different Bluetooth phases, and the box and phones all remember the pairing, but it's only connected to the most recent phone. So if we're both in the car, it connects to whoever it talked to last (and shows their music, phone directory, and navigation settings.) If just one driver gets in the car, and it's not the most recent one, they have to go to their phone Bluetooth menu and reconnect, but don't have to do the whole setup process, so it's still quick and reliable but you do have to get your phone out of your pocket to do it.Other issues, which may be about the box or may be about the 2019 Carplay version, are that sometimes it takes a couple of minutes to connect to the phone (other times it's quick), you can't connect a phone to the car with the wired USB while the box is connected (the phone will charge but won't talk to Carplay; we tried this as a way to get around the 2-driver issues), and if you switch sources on the radio, sometimes Carplay shows up and sometimes you have to hit a button on the screen (same issue the car has with wired USB.)They could have made the box fancier about dual connections, but for $15 I can't complain, and it looks like the $50 boxes don't do that either.

Works fine but seems to cause parasitic power draw on my 2019 Honda Accord
Short version:- Works better than wired AA on my 2019 Honda Accord, but doesn't solve the car's Bluetooth issues- Seems to slowly drain the car battery when the engine's off- Included USB-C cable is poor - needs replacementUltimately I have been happy with how well this works. The 10th gen Honda Accord has well-known issues with Bluetooth and Android Auto connectivity, and this device, ironically, creates a more reliable AA experience than directly connecting to the car. The dongle seems to resolve the framerate drops and AA disconnects that I have experienced when I directly connect the phone to the car. However, it doesn't solve the Bluetooth issues that are created by the car itself. If the car can't connect to the phone via Bluetooth (as it fails to do about 25% of the time), you also won't be able to use the dongle for AA wireless. But that's not the dongle's fault. That said, I've noticed something after owning this for a few months. I'm 95% certain that it is causing parasitic power draw on the car battery when connected while the car is off. The car turns off power to the USB ports about 30 seconds after turning off the engine, as confirmed with a USB power tester, which shows zero power draw. HOWEVER, something about the dongle still causes the car's battery to slowly deplete. I have tested multiple evenings with the dongle connected or disconnected, and it only happens with the dongle connected DESPITE showing 0ma of power draw. I suspect that it might have something to do with dongle causing the car's built-in head unit, which retains power during car-off, continuing to run in a higher power state than intended. But I haven't yet been able to figure that out. For the time being, I just unplug it after car-off, but if I forget, I can come back to a car that won't start after a few days of working from home. One other minor thing: the little USB-C cable that comes with dongle is unreliable and prone to causing the AA dongle to reboot if I hit a hard bump. You might need to replace the included USB-C cable with a better one.

Works perfectly!
Initially I bought the Motorola wireless adapter to use with my new head unit.... Holy hell, I've never been so frustrated in my life. That thing was awful and would not connect to my phone despite having followed the steps to a tee. I returned that and bought this one instead. It's half the cost of the Motorola one, and actually works!!! It was also crazy simple to install. It worked exactly the way the Motorola one was supposed to; plug it in, connect to it in your phone settings, forget about it.I hid it in the glovebox and honestly forgot it even existed until Amazon prompted me to review it, which I'd say is a sign that it works great. It's been installed for about 2.5 months at time of this review and has had zero issues. It automatically connects to my phone and launches AndroidAuto within about 20 seconds of starting the car, and has never dropped connection or anything.Don't bother with the big name brand "official" ones, this one works great and is half the price.
