A must to bring with you to EVERY shoot!

Yikes! I had such high expectations. It's overheating and completely useless for any shoot. My friend also ordered one, same thing on his. I tried to contact customer support and they said Ulanzi didn't leave them anything about fixing this issue. I'll try another brand.In fairness, the package looks good! They did a good job packing it and the carrying case is nice. But when 2 people order one and both say overheating upon first use...then it's just a bad product. You can't bring this to your sets.

I heard back from Ulanzi's customer service a couple days after the problem. They gave me instructions to update the unit's firmware. After that was done it worked great! For a day. And then it was back to the same problem. I reported this to them and they shipped me a brand new unit very quickly. The new unit works exactly as advertised. I haven't had any problems with that one and it creates impressive amounts of fog very quickly.It's very impressive for about 3 seconds and then it gives a warning of the oil tank overheating. This happened in an air conditioned room straight out of the box and continues to happen. There's nothing on Ulanzi's website about troubleshooting or fixing problems. Looks like it's going back.

Pros:- Feels well-built- Excellent ergonomicsCons:- It doesn't actually workI am very disappointed in this thing. There are so many compact fog machines, and most of them have terrible reviews. This was one of the few that didn't, but now I understand this is because it simply it needed more time on the market. The common complaint of the fog machines immediately overheating is fully represented here. I could not produce fog for more than one or two seconds at a time before it would say that it was overheating and needed a moment. Basically, it does not do the one thing that it is supposed to do. Needless to say, I will be returning it.tldr; it doesn't product fog. It is an expensive paperweight.

Unfortunately, this fog machine didn’t work the way I thought it would. It’s smaller less powerful than I expected, so it didn’t give the effect I was looking for.
