Love it!
Bought this cooler for our garage to keep my dogs cool overnight. It was easy to set up although the instructions are vague I was able to figure it out. You fill the water tank either but pulling out the small square piece in front of the cooler right above the tank window or at the top after opening the lid. It comes with 4 ice packs that contain a substance that needs to be mixed with water so be careful not to overfill the first time you fill them up. I haven’t been able to figure out what the different 1-3 setting numbers mean on the left hand sided dial do but it didn’t matter to me because it’s so hot I set it at the highest setting. It cooled the room but it does feel slightly more humid, which is to be expected since it’s basically a small swamp cooler. I used ice to cool the water down along with the ice packs and it made all the difference. The air flow is pretty strong and once filled and at the #3 and “cool” setting I’m able to run it for about 12 hours before it needs to be refilled with water. Overall I’m very happy with it and would absolutely buy it again.

So nice I bought it twice, IF your conditions are correct
A fantastic swamp cooler that will cool down a large area on the cheep IF YOU MEET THE CONDITIONS CORRECTLYUnderstand how this thing works. It wants to take in WARM, DRY air, and it creates cooling by forcing water to evaporate inside the box, sucking the heat out of that air while hydrating it, then pushes it out to you. In order for this process to work, the box NEEDS access to that relatively warm, relatively dry air. If you just put this inside the room and turn it on, it will cool you down a little bit, until the air it's recirculating is fully hydrated.... then it's just a fancy fanHonestly, the IDEAL situation for this unit would be to somehow place it outside your window allowing the back and both sides to be exposed to warm, dry air and somehow pipe the cold air it outputs into your house via the window, but as that would require impractical ducting and would place both the refill spots and the controls out side the house, what I have settled on is placing one sideways to the open front door of my small shop, and we bought another to put on a very sturdy metal wire shelf in front of an open window so the entire back side is pressed up against the window at home. While this is suboptimal for the cooler's design in each setting, it still provides a LOT of cooling for very little electricity (200 Watt max)It's LARGE, roughly 44 inches high without the wheels on, roughly 24 inches wide, and about 14 inches deep, so you are going to need a decent sized window if you plan to use the same approach, and it take sup roughly half the Hight of a standard door. With careful and strategic opening of windows, you can direct how the cool air from the fan is distributed in the space it's being directed into.If you life in a humid environment, or have no access to the constant supply of warm, dry air required to make this thing work, then this isn't for you and you should look at a mini split or similar

Works ok at the very best
Works ok if you stuff it full of ice water, but biggest issue is this cooler puts out nowhere near 4000+ CFM. as advertised. You can barely feel it 6’ away on max speed. Will probably use this on my patio and buy a Hessaire or Portacool for my shop.

Keeps you cool and comfortable
This year my 25 year old central air conditioner decided to retire. Having a limited income I knew I could not replace it. I decided instead of paying $250 for a repair estimate I would buy this. I am on the downhill side of life with quite a few disabilities. My body doesn't always regulate it's temperature very well. I knew if I had hope of surviving summer I had to figure out something. This is a fairly large unit, so make sure you have a spot for it. I spend most of my time in my bedroom because it is best set up for my disabilities. This unit has instructions which are pretty useless, not much to need instructions for. Getting it out of the box was difficult for me. I wanted to keep the box for storing the unit in the winter. To me filling it with water is most difficult. I wish there was an attachment to hook a hose to. When filling from top it is difficult to hold the hose in proper place. The little door in front is worthless for filling, not big to fit the hose in. Most positions I tried for filling meant that I could see the window at bottom to watch how full it was. Inevitably I over filled and had to clean up water from the floor. The unit works well I hope I can solve the filling problem. I am glad I made this purchase

You get what you pay for...
I was really excited to get this because of the price and size. It goes through water very fast. We have a Hessaire with a smaller water tank, smaller square ft coverage, yet it lasts practically all night. This one, water last a few hours and it doesn't get cold. The ice packs make a slight difference but the Hessaire doesn't require ice packs. We won't be returning it because it's outside the return window. We spent too much time trying to troubleshoot and try to make it work.

Very good evap cooler for a great price
I was skeptical of this unit considering the low cost. A similar unit at my local hardware store was running for about twice the cost of this unit. I'm glad I tool the chance being that this evap cooler is great. The unit is made entirely of plastic which is fine since I intent to keep it our on my backyard. It comes with some icepacks but when the temperature is 100F or more the icepacks just don't last and they don't cool down that much more than just water. The airflow is great and the noise level is acceptable for a large fan moving a lot of air. I live in Arizona so evap coolers are perfect for the climate. I would not use an evap cooler for humid climates as they are not as effective as they are here with very low humidity. The only thing I wish this cooler had was a self fill valve. To fill up the cooler you either have to go from the top or a small opening near the tank. Is not hard to do but would be best to just attach a hose and let it run without having to worry about the water level.Overall, I am very happy with the purchase.
