The quality of the materials and everything is pretty great. Love the velcro they used. I just wished it was wider and covered a bigger area of my back. The pictures of this product probably depicted a short lady wearing it, which really isn’t reflective of the actual product. I thought it would be wider when I bought my size. And double checked when I bought my size.Still would recommend it.

First impression right out of the bag, this product is excellent. The stiff spine plate contoured to the natural curve of the low back provides me just enough support to give my back muscles the assist they need. The subtle ache that's always there was reduced significantly. This back also has a removable lumbar pad that cushions and compresses the lower back. (Like a helping hand pressing into your back).More importantly, this brace is sleek enough so I can wear this UNDER my shirt and not draw unwanted attention to my back troubles.Now the sad side: If you're unsure what size to buy and you use the provided size chart for guidance - please save yourself the annoyance to having to return product - just buy the next size up and you'll be happy. I bought XL because the size chart said waist was 47.2 - 53.8 inches. I have a 46-inch waist.Plenty of slack for comfort adjustment I thought. Wrong... Once I placed it on, I discovered I only had1.5 - 2 inches of Velcro overlap (at most). That wasn't going to give all day comfort while on my Alaska vacation walking (with my cane) thru the towns exploring. I fully expect the next size up will allow for a tight fit to a loose fit (depending on ache-level) that I'm buying this brace for in the first place.
