Excellent little player
Excellent little player just what I was looking for. Plays my ancient tapes and can copy to my laptop.Hasn't chewed any tape yet like the cheaper ones often do. Top quality.

Great Choice for a Cassette Player!
The media could not be loaded. Recently, I’ve wanted to get some merch to support the artists I like but also just cause I like them and want some of their stuff. I wanted to get some vinyls but did some research and realised you have to have quite a bit of money on you to buy a good vinyl player that will last you for some time. Then, I found out that some of my favourite artists have released cassettes of their albums, SO, I bought some as they where cheaper than vinyls but also aren’t as expensive to manage and also look quite cool in my opinion. After buying them I needed a something to play them on obviously, and that’s why I chose this. I saw that Reshow had a popular cassette player/converter already but I heard that it kind of felt cheap and also just wasn’t that great overall so I wanted to see if they had any others and found this! For an extra £20 you get a nicer looking, better quality, and overall cleaner cassette player.SPEAKER: The speaker at the front is quite impressive as it sounds quite good for a speaker this small. Overall though, it sounds decent but plugging in headphones/earphones into the player sounds better.HUM/NOISE: When using the speaker, there is a slight static, humming noise but this isn’t anything new on cassette players I believe so just making you aware. The noise seems to be louder with headphones/earphones plugged in but isn’t that much of a disturbance unless you keep paying attention to it more than the music.QUALITY: The quality of the cassette is good and it feels moderate. Not insane quality but it feels nice when pressing the buttons on top and just holding the player itself. The hatch doesn’t feel like it will fall off and the buttons go down and up smoothly. Overall, build quality isn’t the most craziest thing ever but is good for a price of £40 I’d say.PORTABILITY: This cassette player is quite small compared to some other cassette players so it will be able to snug right into your pocket.SOUND: The quality of sound is good for a cassette player but isn’t going to sound as good as if it was played on AirPods or just any new technology. Some set backs though include; Tapes being played a bit faster than usual, Sound “mumbling” a small amount when pressing play, and a slight “hum” as previously stated. The tapes are played only a small amount faster though so it doesn’t affect them that much to be honest. When pressing play after pausing the cassette, it sounds like the tape “mumbles” but it is faint and doesn’t really effect the listening experience that much as it only happens at the start after pressing play. (By “mumble” I mean that the treble does something weird and goes up and down but only for like a second or two. It as if the player is” waking up”) . The “hum” isn’t really anything crazy as it is just a quiet hissing sound which is expected on cassette players.FINAL THOUGHTS: Overall, this cassette player is great for its price of £40. Not only can it play cassettes but it can also convert them to MP3 Files. The “mumbling” and “hissing” aren’t that much of a problem and can be ignored easily when fading into the music that you’re listening to. The quality of the sound and player itself is great and everything is well done. Couldn’t have asked for anything better at this price point.Hope this review helps!

Not easy to get recording software
I tried many times to download audacity without success so I opted for Ashampoo Music Studio that I already had installed, but the results are disappointing

A disappointment!!
Sent it back for a refund, sound quality was low, recording was low, sound volume was not loud enough, too much background noise. Not impressed! Easy to use though, functionality straight forward, battery is OK,looks!!

Good purchase for the price
Brilliant, I can play my old cassettes again and will save them to a hard disc on my PC.The speakers are pretty poor but I have a set of headphones that plug in and gives very good quality sound,as good as the old days. With the software ,free, you can capture the audio and audacity has the ability to enhance the sound as required.Audacity. is a download and as confirmed above is free.Would say this is a good buy and endorse the purchase.

Seemed OK Initially but disapointed after a week or two.
I have been trying to get a tape player for almost a year since my old one (30 years old) suddenly died on me.This is the second player I have bought via Amazon, the first was total rubbish (I got a full refund from Amazon). This second one - at almost double the price of the first and certainly a much better build quality, did initially seem OK, I was able to digitise two old cassette tapes. However after those two tapes I have hit two separate problems: The first (microphone active during playback and picking up noises) was resolved by the good customer support (via email - 2 day response) (if relevant the solution is simple - press the STOP button before pressing PLAY). The second problem was too much - the take up spool does not rotate reliably - causing the tape to pile up inside - this has destroyed two irreplaceable cassette tapes. The most positive thing is the good email support from the helpful vendor (Ishuhua). They have refunded my money.Hoping to send it back but may not be able to due to Brexit!

Great for digitising old cassette recordings
I purchased this to convert some precious 30 year old recordings of the children to MP3. Great results, recommended.
