Lock & Lock HPL811 Multi-Use Food-Storage Box 600 mL

Good quality Food Storage Containers, just as you would expect from a reliable brand such as Lock & Lock. Lid fits and seals beautifully. Just what I was looking for, perfect size and quality for my needs.

Compact box with handy flip top lid ideal for smaller packs of cereal e.g. muesli or granola, which is what I bought it for. As always Lock and Lock provide good quality boxes with airtight seals and this is a good addition to my collection.The boxes did come originally with 'normal' rather than flip top lids but sorted out very satisfactorily with the seller who was very helpful so still worth the full 5 stars in my opinion.

I was worried about two issues raised in the more negative reviews: the position of the flip-top when pouring, and its seal. I find that these are not real problems.However I can see how they could be perceived to be. First of all, the first few times that you open the flip-top, you have to push back quite firmly for it to "click" into the stable open position. You might stop yourself in the belief that you will break it, when it hasn't reached yet its final back position. Wait to hear that click.Secondly, when I filled the container up with water, and then held it upside down, I did not see any leaks, and the flip remained closed in position. So there is a water/air seal. Here the problem is psychological for me. The flip top is very easy to open with your hand. It almost feels as if it was loose. In fact, I took one star off because I wish I could feel the reassurance of closing-click. It is strangely disconcerting.Overall though, is a good product, and the not-so-huge size, a very good one.

Good quality for the price, a little on the small side but I'd rather have this then one that was bigger rand less the quality. Easy to clean and could be used for keeping lots of things in it

I have always rated Lock and Lock very highly and this rectangular storage container is of high quality like others in the range. It seals well and I use it to store muesli breakfast cereal. I have purchased one before and they last the test of time. Would highly recommend to others.

Nicely made, quality plastic, good seal, keeps completely fresh. Only thing is, a bit on the smallish side (but I had already read this in other reviews, so no unpleasant surprises). You won't be able to empty a whole 500g box of cereal into one of these. I wanted them for B&B use, so as not to have to put the cardboard boxes on the table, and for that they are great (bought two).

Amazing! Apart from the excellent standard of the clip system and the pouring ability, the way it manages to store the contents of a standard sized cereal box into a smaller looking space is quite something. We have got 4 of these now, all filled with cereals, which fit into a small space in the cupboard, freeing up a larger cupboard which had been taken up with the larger cereal containers.
