I bought this torch to do some electrical soldering on the wires of my driveway lights. Too far from the house to use my soldering gun, as it wouldn’t heat up enough to melt the solder. This thing worked great! Nice quality and good price.I’d buy it again.

I have been struggling with cheap torches for 🍯, and then I ordered this and it works so so well! the flame is huge and easy to control. It looks very high quality, and it's definitely worth it for the money. I only put 4 because i've had it for a month or two now and sometimes when i try to start it it takes a couple clicks so i'm scared it will break eventually. other than that it's great

The but that belongs on the headline is: "but it just isn't perfect for what I wanted it for." That's my issue and I hate when people give poor reviews or star ratings because of things that have nothing to do with the tool and its actual purpose or use. Things like Shipping, packaging or unrealistic expectations. Improper use or poorly written instructions. Customer Service can certainly be included in your rating but again, did that effect the usefulness of the item being purchased or just make you hate the product because dealing with whatever process is in place to address your concerns.That being said, the torch itself is well made and as mentioned holds a lot of fuel. I found a cheap, "pen-like," gas fueled soldering tool and used it on some shrink tubing. The small flame and amount of heat was perfect and convenient for this task because I didn't have to break out the heat gun. I began thinking that this type of tools is perfect for small jobs where you just need to shrink a few small pieces of tubing rather than using the electric heat gun.As I searched for a better quality pen-type soldering tool I realized that even the really expensive ones being made specifically for this task were mediocre at best so I continued to move to the next level and ultimately convincing myself I needed this bigger torch with good reviews even though it probably wasn't really suited for closing shrink tubing but for larger heating projects or making creme' brûlée'.So, instead of giving it a poor review because it didn't work for my purpose, I am strictly grading the tool itself. I filled it with premium fuel, cracked open the valve, hit the igniter and it roared to life with that signature jet aircraft sound we all know and love. The included stand keeps the tool upright and sturdy allowing for hands-free operation. Even lighting it can be accomplished single handedly with is a plus if you're already holding your work piece with the other hand. A couple clicks and it fires right up. Adjust the dual flame and get busy.Bottom line, good product and price. I will just find other uses for it and keep it because it works as described!

Wish the tank was metal. Only reason for 4 star

I actually really liked this torch. I only owned it a month though, and the igniter went out. I owned one previously and the igniter went out after two months. Great torch. Just won't last long.
