Nice dry wood, burns clean, a little long for the solo stove Mesa, but still works.

First off, keep in mind that this is a convenience item mostly for people who can't easily get dry wood or who just don't mind paying for the convenience. Keep in mind that this is just a small box of wood. The quality of the wood is good and the piece size varies quite a bit which I actually consider a plus. This is going to be most useful for the small tabletop fire pits, kindling to get a fire started, or maybe to add some smoke flavor to something as this is only about as much wood as a small bundle from a gas station and would burn up in no time if used for a full size camp fire. that said, this wood is very dry, even more so than most kiln dried wood I've seen and tested 11% moisture with my meter. Anything under 20% is good and under 15% is difficult just from ambient moisture.Overall, this is an item of convenience, though it is currently priced very competitively with similar other products. It's nice that this comes with a few fire starters, and the wood quality is good and very dry. So I do think this is a good product. I did take a star off because the box has some dust/wood debris which I think they could have easily avoided especially for a product that I consider a "premium" item.

These work great with our wood fired pizza oven! While most suggest pellets these last longer than pellets. We used about 2 pieces to heat up and about 1-2 per pizza and in between time to keep fire going. Basically this will be a regular purchase because we really like pizza.

We were having trouble getting our new pizza fire oven to work and after failure after failure... We finally got this item and from using these wood burning pieces now we have no more problems and perfect cooked pizzas...

What can I say. The product arrived on time but weighed in at under 10lbs with the box. The fire starters also did not come with the box as promised. What a waste!
