I had a total ankle replacement and got this to use in the bathroom and it has been a lifesaver. Very sturdy. Very easy to use. The handrails are high enough for me to get up and down on my good leg. I’m 5.11 so it works for a tall person. Cannot say enough good things about this item.

This item worked well for me after hip surgery. Very easy to install and the height is perfect. I was not able to use it with the handles on - it was too snug for my size and location of my incision. I bought another wrap around to give me handles to stand.

it was easy to install & remove & definitely made things easier after my foot surgery but it’s very narrow with the handles on & i ended up taking them both off & just using a walker to get up from the toilet instead

The handles take a beating. I wanted something that would last for possible future operations. This one's handles lock vertically into the fixture with metal buttons in a metal tube similar to walkers & canes. I did not want horizontally-mounted handles whose weak point is the plastic fixture itself. If that cracks, it's impossible to make a solid repair.I am 6' 5", 215 pounds. Not petite, but not obese either. Seat is fine for a guy my size. Big enough. No trouble peeing. If you need extra room, slide all the way to the back to pee. Slide towards the front to poop. The extra 5" in height makes a world of difference getting up & sitting down.Install it a few days before your operation to test it. Front clamp doesn't hold like "glue", but if you apply equal pressure to both handles, it's solid.The only drawback that I can see is the plastic tends to stain. Not permanently, but takes more cleaning than it should. The inside of the bowl area is not "glossy", but porous. Tends to hold a stain. Don't know why the engineers designed it that way, but that's the way it is. The rest of the unit's pluses outweigh this negative. I recommend this product.

This seat works perfectly, the handles are very sturdy and can hold a lot of weight. When the seat is in the proper position and the front screw is tighten down the seat is very secure .

Nice and compact for a small bathroom tge handles do not stick out. Easy to install and sturdy.

This seat does not get secure enough, if you need to use the handles to get up.

The toilet seat is working well for its need to arise from it easily with bad knee. HOWEVER I had a very difficult time installing the arms. One side went in easily the other was very difficult extending past the holes where it should slide down easily. I had to push very hard. I. had no one to help me do that. I was about to send it back. After going back to try it again several times I managed to use all my strength to do so. I thought I would break my arm. That's difficult for someone in their 80's! But it may be difficult for anyone. Perhaps the one we got had a fitting defect. Other than that it works well for getting up from the seat.

This has saved my life. I'm waiting for two knee replacements and with this item, going to the bathroom is no longer a painful experience. Super fast and easy to assemble & install. Takes less than 5 minutes. Light weight so easy to remove to wash. Excellent value! I would advise you also buy a toilet foot rest so your knees are raised as well to suit the new height of the toilet seat.

The handles are an added bonus enabling one to push oneself off the throne when there is nothing close by to grab. Suitable especially for a bulkier person.

This is an amazing product. Sturdy and easy to clean.. My husband had hip replacement surgery and required a toilet lift during his rehabilitation. Purchasing one from a specialty store was almost impossible due to the cost. With the additional things he required, spending over 200. 00 for one was ridiculous.The cost of this item from Amazon was a no-brainor. It is just as good or better then purchasing from a specialty store.
