Great idea, great sound Great value
This is a beautifully made, perfectly tuned, and nicely set up for overblows, double Richter slide harmonica in A/Bb. It's airtight and has great tone. The bends work well out of the box. So do the overblows but a little twinking is needed for my personal use. Your mustache will get caught if you don't trim it though.I can't imagine why everyone wouldn't want one

This is a nice harmonica
this is a pretty nice harmonica. It's solid and heavy and the slide feature is really useful. It also comes to a pretty nice case.

Goodbye windsavers
Love the "solo" harp. I just hope they come out with a 12 hole.

Enhancing richter tuning possibilities
This Harmonica is one richter tuned harp and with a button press another richter tuned harp a half step difference. Not chromatic, but a lot more chromatic possibilities. You can get a lot of notes with the press of a button that otherwise require over blows or over draws. I’m just learning my way around. But it is fun and interesting.

Revolutionary design and great instrument
Just got the Richter tuned in A. This is an amazing instrument. It's super fun to play, air tight and the slide opens up a world of possibilities I couldn't do on a standard ten hole diatonic without overblows. I will definitely get more keys.

Everything i ever wanted
This is an amazing, albeit unusual instrument.I ordered the paddy-Richter in blues configuration tuning. I'm not a blues player, so the somewhat 'odd' note configuration with the slider is behaving differently than the standard blues-chromatic tuning and it suits my playing style very well.I'm a seasoned musician who lost the ability to play stringed instruments due to disability. I tried several brands, mostly diatonic, but also chromatic harps, and this one comes close to perfection for my needs. I prefer a diatonic harp over the chromatic due to greater tone flexibility, draw and blow bends, size, and simplicity. But trying to get an overblow in order to get to the missing notes just proved impossible for me after a year of practicing. Since life is short and i want to play music, this instrument checks all the boxes for me. Draw and blood bends still work like on a regular diatonic but now i can get to those missing notes as well. The lower draw bends behave slightly different than what I'm used to from a standard diatonic harp, but i can get used to it.The 'comb' is very smooth but i can see how it can be unfriendly to a mustache owner. The slider acts basically like a crude and dull hair trimmer. The paddy Richter and the Richter layout give you the greatest tonal range but the C6 looks interesting to me too. The Solo tuning is not for me at all as it duplicated some notes unnecessarily at the cost of smaller tonal rangePaddy Richter layout with this harp makes harmonic minor or double harmonic scales natural and intuitive. Although each octave behaves slightly different. I also play classical music on this instrumentOverall, if you're able or curious to expand your repertoire, you will find a great joy with this harp. It also has a very sweet and mellow tone. It's fairly heavy, the slider is very quiet and it suits small hands. I really like the hard shell padded case that resembles an eye glasses cease

Bad taste
Great harmonica but tastes a lot of slide oil. I can't play it without getting this bad taste in my mouth. The richter tuned one I ordered previously didn't have this problem. I'm airing it out so I really hope this helps.

Fantastic!
Just received today, and have only played for an hour, but I’m blown away. Strictly amateur, but have played 10 + years, mostly Scottish, Irish, and American folk songs. This harp is small, light, plays like a dream. Lovely tone and very little breath required. Certainly best/easiest of my dozen or so harmonicas. Bought the solo tuned version which makes the playing of melodies particularly easy, since both octaves have the same sequence. Very well made. Oh, and the mouth contact area is VERY smooth, non irritating. Highly recommended.
