I received this LiitoKala charger today.As I opened the box, I knew something is amiss.I could not find an AC cable inside.It only comes with a 12V cigarette lighter cable. Strange.Fortunately, I was able to borrow an AC cable from a camera battery charger that fits the LiitoKala.That's when I found that the display is defective.It is broken as you can see it from my photo.I am sending this back to Amazon.How did it happen?Perhaps, the likely scenario is someone else before me had this charger with broken display, sent it back to Amazon, didn't say anything, and forgot to put back the AC cable into the box.I have bought many lithium-ion battery chargers from Amazon and never once received a defective one like this.Other thoughts:LiitoKala brand has been around for years but this is the first time I bought their charger.The reason I bought this charger is because, the slots are wide enough to accommodate four fat batteries like the 26650 side-by-side with rooms to spare in between.Second reason is because it can accept 21700 batteries.I am surprised that there is very little clearance for a flat-top 21700 battery as shown in my picture.I cannot imagine if it can fit a button top and/or protected 21700 battery.I wish companies make a charger that can fit longer and larger 26800, 4680, and 46950 batteries.

I chose this charger because it can accommodate the most common cylindrical battery types and sizes, up to 34mm diameter, and 70mm long. The minimum distance between contacts is 30mm, but the minimum battery lenght to have some spring tension in the movable contact is about 34mm; it also has two bays for NiCd or NiMh 9V batteries.You can charge different cell sizes and chemistry types simultaneously. The charger gets power straight from an a/c wall outlet or from a cigarette lighter adapter which is included.The charger will choose a default charging current, and will try to choose the right chemistry. You can manually choose from 3 charging currents (300, 500 or 1000mA), and the type of chemistry for each individual cylindrical charging bay.The display will show the chosen charge current, battery chemistry, the actual voltage, charge % and the calculated mAh for each battery being charged.For the 9V charging bays, there is only one charge current of approx 85mA per bay, and there is only a red indicator when charging, that turns green when fully charged, or in stand-by. No data will be shown on the display.If the battery voltage is under a certain level, the charger will assume it is a NiCd or NiMH battery, and there is no way to change to LiFePo4 or any other chemistry.The charger is well built. The movable contacts have a strong spring. I did have to bend these contacts because they were at an angle and they were pushing the batteries out of the charging bay.I purchased this charger new, on sale for $14.49, which made it a bargain.This LiitoKala charger is made by Yinquian Electronic Technology Co. according to the authenticity sticker.I have recommended the charger to a few of my friends.

This works great to charge the various type of lithium batteries that my flashlights and other tech use. The display reads nice and clear and it doesn’t take a genius to figure out how to use it. I wish the directions were a little clearer, but it’s not bad enough to take off a star.
