This works great. I can easily switch between the two computers I work on throughout the day!!

The unit does connect one keyboard, one monitor, and one mouse (in my case, all wired) to two computers. When working properly, it's great. However, after a few days of operation, I began getting random drop-outs of the keyboard, mostly the mouse. By drop-out, I mean they will just stop working, or for example, the mouse cursor will disappear. The fix is my pressing the lighted switch, as if switching machines, or disconnecting and re-connecting, which sometimes restores service. It may be a faulty connector in the unit, I'm considering returning. UPDATE 7/10/24: Instead of returning, I played around with it a bit, changed out cables, etc. The problem occurred less frequently, then restarted. Looking more closely at the unit, I suspect one of the USB connectors is defective, thus accounting for the drop-out. I will contact the seller and see if there is a remedy before finalizing my review. UPDATE 7/23/24 Seller did respond to my inquiry and offered a few suggestions for tests which I had already undertaken on my own behalf. All my peripherals check out fine. The occasional dropouts appear most likely to be associated with the device. That's pretty much it. My review reflects what transpired, and a product which did not live completely up to expectations and promise. UPDATE 8/19/24 Ultimately I came upon a single fix which appears to be 100% effective. Whenever the unit stops working, for any reason, I switch out the mouse and keyboard plugs. By that I mean I take out the mouse plug, and put it where the keyboard plug was; and vice versa. This remedy instantly restores proper functioning. The dropouts still randomly occur, but the issue, once recognized, can be dealt with. UPDATE 9/4/24 I've raised my rating to 4 stars. The seller and I agreed on a reasonable resolution, short of replacement. My sense is our communications helped them identify the issue internally and they will effect a solution.

Easy to use easy setup between 2 computers

I have tried 3 keyboards and 5 mice... none of them will work with this unit for my mini mac or 2 apple laptops I tried... maybe just not compatible with Apple ?? I dunno... but it does work to share a single monitor... so that is helpful, yet not what I need nor what I paid for... sigggghhhhhhhh
