These eggs are awesome! My son spent at least 30 minutes on Christmas day carving out just one of the dinosaurs. The size of the eggs are perfect. They are not super messy but I do recommend having them do it outside or on something so clean up is easier. They are super fun for the kids to do and are definitely worth the money spent!

These were so much fun, but VERY hard to get open. The tool provided does work but it takes WAY LONG to crack the egg. It is messy but we'll worth the mess!

The kids thought it was kind of fun, but it was really hard for a two and a four-year-old to break the eggs open, but they did like the dinosaurs once dad helped them open them up.

This project was a blast to do with my son. He is 6 which I think is the perfect age to start with this toy. It requires patience, tenacity, fine motor skills and willing to get dirty. I loved that the dinosaurs you “find” are random, it makes the surprise of excavating them that much more fun. It took us a little bit of experimenting to figure out the best way to get the chalk material off.

I got these for my Dino obsessed daughter for Easter as a play on Easter eggs. The idea is great. However, the execution is a little firmer than expected. Even as an adult I had a hard time using the small tools provided to excavate the Dino out of the very hard egg. Once we employed a mallet we were able to get some large chunks off and then use the provided tool for the finer work at the end of getting the Dino out

This is fantastic! Perfect for the young dinosaur lover in your life. I particularly enjoy that this is not a one and done gift. You can easily break down this gift and give it away piece by piece or better yet you can give the entire thing to one person. If you decide to gift it entirely there are 12 eggs to excavate. These eggs can technically be 12 different activities!! In my eyes it’s worth it because it is at the cost of under 2 dollars per egg! Additionally, in the box you receive a felt game board that could be used in the long run with the dinosaur pals you dug up to pay a basic board game. The set of collector cards enclosed also contain a variety of interesting information about the dinosaurs that are being dug out!Absolutely a 5 star activity.

I like that the kids can play with the eggs and work on their dexterity while being excited about what they will find. Then, they get to use the little dinosaurs to play a board game. The wooden dice are nice but the board is frustrating. It is made of stiff felt and was folded a lot so it is quite creased and will not lay flat. I plan to put it flat under some heavy books for a week and see how that works. Then I will roll it up and keep it in the box it came in, which is pretty nice.
