It works, just beware the smell!
Five stars because this seriously helped me! I wanted to do something at home since this was my first time with an ingrown toenail and I didn’t want to go to the doctor if I was able to fix it myself. Followed the instructions exactly and it worked! The ingrown toenail went away after a few days of treating it with ointment and the bandaids. My ONLY complaint is the foul stench of the pain relieving ointment - like rotten egg stench. Once you put the bandaid over the white circle on your toe after applying, it’s not as prevalent and the smell does go away. It’s just VERY strong but does help the healing process.

Smells Like Regret (and Rotten Eggs)
This ingrown toenail kit really delivers—if what you’re looking for is sticky residue and the unmistakable stench of doom. The retainer ring leaves behind gunk that clings to your toe like a stage-five clinger, and the medicated gel? Imagine rotten eggs… now imagine them angrier. The smell is so strong, I’m pretty sure my neighbors think something died in my bathroom.Bottom line: my toe’s still angry, my nose is traumatized, and I wouldn’t recommend this to my worst enemy. (Okay, maybe to my worst enemy.)

Not for me
Unfortunately this didn’t work for me. I had an ingrown toenail and trying to cut it made it worse- created a sharp point going into my skin which was quite painful I couldn’t even walk properly. I ended up going to the doctor and having it numbed and removed. I recommend going to a podiatrist or PCP if you have a bad ingrown nail. They can also stop the mail from growing back on the side if you have a recurring issue like me. This didn’t solve my issue and the gel smells really bad.
