Q: Category 8 specification has not been finalized. how do you have certification and a product that performs at these ratings?

The Cat 8 standard has been approved in Jun 2016 and published afterward. Our products were sent to Germany for GHMT Type Approval and approved to meet Cat 8 standard (ISO/IEC 11801-1 Ed.1.0 (2017-11). Later this year (2018), we will start proving Fluke VSX-8000 Cat 8 Channel certified data cables to our Amazon customers. We don’t have Cat8 patch cords yet, as The Fluke has not made the adapters to certify Cat8 patch cord. We hope this answered your question.

Q: Will this connector work on cat8.2 cable?

Yes. It supports all current and future Cat8 with up to 22AWG. Be aware that many advertised Cat8.2 cables failed to meet the standard in our lab test. Please make sure the factory has certificate from GHMT or other testing facilities.

If I read your question correctly, any keystone Jack by Linkup will fit keystone faceplates is any size. I do use keystone faceplates and the Linkup Jack fits perfectly.

Q: How long is the assembled plug?

An assembled plug is approximately 66mm long, but keep in mind that the cable used is very stiff and requires about 80mm total clearance between the face of the jack and any obstacles [by the way, I think I posted an image with my review that shows a close-quarters installation to give everyone an idea of the clearances that I'm referring].
