This BenQ desk lamp is an unusual but ingenious design. The circular base is very heavy so it won’t tip over no matter what, and you turn it on/off & adjust the light’s brightness/intensity with a highly tactile finger-stroke control. It’s a pleasure to use and the quality of the reading light is excellent.The most unusual feature is the banana-shape of the lamp to offer a wide arc of light over your work surface, so it’s neither a spotlight nor a full-room light but both at the same time. It’s a strong reading light but illuminates a wider area than just the book/document in front of you.The design is balanced and poised, and looks like nothing else on the market. A very tough power cable connects to the separate power-socket plug, offered with multiple international options of plug-prong design which easily slide in and lock. There is a fat multi-lingual user manual but also an easy-read quick set-up sheet, which is all you need to plug-in and off you go.The only possible downside is that it’s a bit pricey, but once you get it out of the box and set up you quickly realise what a high-quality and effective design it is, worth every penny.Excellent product with a unique, funky aesthetic. Highly recommended.

The brightness level for this light is right for me. I put it in my home office for my day to day work. My eyes are not that tired as before after the work. I strongly recommend to have it during winter time while daylight is not enough. I bought another one for the living room as well.

Am Anfang dachte ich auch: Wahnsinn, so eine teure Lampe!1.) Der Kugelkopf ist es. Die Lampe lässt sich durch den Kugelkopf bis zur absoluten Blendfreiheit drehen.2.) An das Licht muss man sich ein bisschen gewöhnen... aber dafür bietet die Lampe genügend Einstellungsmöglichkeiten... die reichen auch aus.3.) Der Berührungssensor ist richtig toll. - Es ist ein wahrer Genuss diese Lampe per Touch auf den Ring einzuschalten.4.) Das Design, die konvexe Beleuchtungsfläche sorgt für eine schöne indirekte Ausleuchtung des Platzes.Für Gamer vielleicht nicht das Richtige, aber für Menschen, die am PC arbeiten müssen.Zugegeben, ich bin Power-User und die Verbesserung des Lichts ist diese Investition wirklich wert.
